Bob Daleo

Bob Daleo began his career with The Thomson Corporation in January 1994 when he joined Thomson Newspapers as Andantino Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In 1996, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Thomson Newspapers, assuming responsibility for a significant portion of its United States operations. At the beginning of 1997, Bob joined Thomson Corporate as Senior Vice President, Finance and Business Development, and was later appointed Executive Vice President, Business Operations and Planning. In November 1998, Bob became Chief Financial Officer of The Thomson Corporation and in January 2001 was named to the Corporation’s Board of Directors.

Prior to joining The Thomson Corporation, Bob held various financial and operations positions with McGraw-Hill and Automatic Data Processing.

Bob is Chairman of Northwestern Mutual Insurance Company's Policy Owners Examining Committee. He is a member of Fordham University's President's Council and the Advisory Board of Rutgers University’s Prudential Center for Business Ethics. He holds an undergraduate degree from Fordham University and an MBA in Finance from the City University of New York.

 

James A. Lawrence

Jim Lawrence joined General Mills in October of 1998 as executive vice president and currently has responsibility for the company’s financial activities and for oversight of international operations. Prior to joining General Mills, Lawrence held positions as executive vice president of Northwest Airlines and president and CEO of Pepsi-Cola Asia, Middle East, Africa. He was co-founder and chairman of The LEK Partnership, a corporate strategy and merger/acquisition consulting firm headquartered in London. Previously, he was a Partner of Bain and Company and headed their London and Munich offices. Lawrence serves on the board of Avnet, Inc. His community involvement includes serving on The Board of Overseers of The Carlson School of Business at the University of Minnesota and the Board of the University of Minnesota Foundation. Lawrence holds a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Yale University, and an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School.

 

Harvey Pitt
Chief Executive Officer
Kalorama Partners, LLC


Harvey L. Pitt is the Chief Executive Officer of the global business consulting firm, Kalorama Partners, LLC. Prior to founding Kalorama Partners, Mr. Pitt was appointed by President George W. Bush to serve as the twenty-sixth Chairman of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. In that role, from 2001 until 2003, Mr. Pitt was responsible, among other things, for overseeing the SEC’s response to the market disruptions resulting from the terrorist attacks of 9/11, for creating the SEC’s “real time enforcement” program, and for leading the Commission’s adoption of dozens of rules in response to the corporate and accounting crises generated by the excesses of the 1990s.

For nearly a quarter of a century before becoming the Commission’s Chairman, Mr. Pitt was a senior corporate partner in the international law firm, Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson. He also was a founding trustee and the first President of the SEC Historical Society, and participated in a wide variety of bar and continuing legal education activities to further public consideration of significant corporate and securities law issues. Mr. Pitt served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center (1975-84), George Washington University Law School (1974-82) and the University of Pennsylvania School of Law (1983-84).

Former Chairman Pitt served previously with the SEC, from 1968 until 1978, including three years as the Commission's General Counsel (1975-78). Mr. Pitt started at the SEC as a staff attorney in the Commission's Office of General Counsel (1968), and served in the following capacities over the next decade: Legal Assistant to SEC Commissioner Francis M. Wheat (1969); Special Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel of the SEC (1970-72); Editor of the SEC's Institutional Investor Study Report (1972); Chief Counsel of the SEC's Division of Market Regulation (1972-73); and Executive Assistant to SEC Chairman Ray Garrett, Jr. (1973-75).

Former Chairman Pitt received a J.D. degree from St. John's University School of Law (1968), and his B.A. from the City University of New York (Brooklyn College) (1965). He was awarded an honorary LL.D. by St. John's University School of Law in June 2002, and was given the Brooklyn College President’s Medal of Distinction in 2003.

Mr. Pitt is a member of the Audit Committees of the Washington National Cathedral School and Approva Corporation.

 

Keith S. Sherin
SVP & Chief Financial Officer

Keith Sherin joined the GE Financial Management Program in Medium Steam Turbine after graduating from the University of Notre Dame in 1981. After three years, he joined the Corporate Audit Staff where he progressed to Executive Audit Manager and later Manager, Programs and Planning.

Sherin earned an M.B.A. from Columbia University in 1991 and was promoted to Manager, Finance for Commercial Engine Operations at GE Aircraft Engines in early 1992. In mid 1993, Sherin was named Director, Finance for GE Plastics Europe, located in Bergen op Zoom, The Netherlands.

In the fall of 1995, Sherin joined GE Medical Systems as Manager-Global Finance and Financial Services and was promoted to Vice President-Finance & Financial Services Operation for GEMS in June 1996.

Sherin has been Senior Vice President, Finance, and Chief Financial Officer for General Electric Company since December 1998.

 

William J. Teuber, Jr

William J. (Bill) Teuber Jr. is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at EMC Corporation. With 2004 revenues of $8.23 billion, and more than 24,000 employees worldwide, EMC is the world leader in products, services, and solutions for information storage and management that help organizations extract the maximum value from their information, at the lowest total cost, across every point in the information lifecycle. As EMC's Chief Financial Officer, Teuber leads EMC's worldwide finance operation and is responsible for all of the company's financial reporting, balance sheet management, foreign exchange, audit, tax, and investment banking programs. He is also responsible for EMC's Information Technology and Investor Relations functions. Teuber is based at EMC's corporate headquarters in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, and reports to EMC President and CEO Joe Tucci. Teuber has served as EMC's Chief Financial Officer since 1997, having previously served in the role of Vice President and Corporate Controller. He joined EMC in 1995 from Coopers & Lybrand L.L.P., in Boston, where he was a Partner in the firm's Audit and Financial Advisory Services practice for seven years. Teuber is a member of the board of directors of Popular, Inc., a diversified financial services company that includes Banco Popular as a holding. He is also a member of Babson College's Board of Trustees. Teuber holds an MBA from Babson College, a Master of Science in Taxation from Bentley College, and a Bachelor's degree from the College of the Holy Cross.

 

Robert Wiesenthal

Robert S. Wiesenthal is Group Executive, Sony Corporation, leading Corporate Development and Mergers and Acquisitions at Sony headquarters. He also holds the titles of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Sony Corporation of America (SCA), and Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer, Sony Entertainment Inc. In his role as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, SCA, Mr. Wiesenthal oversees all financial aspects of SCA, including Finance, Treasure and Tax across the operating companies. He is responsible for Sony's U.S. Investor Relations activities and is also a member of Sony Pictures Entertainment's Operating Committee, and he has business line responsibility for Sony/ATV Music Publishing worldwide. Mr. Wiesenthal sits on the Board of Directors of Sony BMG Music Entertainment and MGM. He was instrumental in negotiating the acquisition of MGM by a consortium of companies led by SCA, and in raising the equity financing for the acquisition. As Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer, Sony Entertainment Inc, Mr. Wiesenthal works with executives at Sony BMG Music Entertainment and Sony Pictures Entertainment to conceive, design and implement strategies and transactions that fortify the competitive posture and enhance the value of these business units with the Sony group companies.

Prior to joining Sony in July 2000, Mr. Wiesenthal was Managing Director of Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB) in the investment banking department, and had for five years served as a strategic advisor to SCA on a wide range of initiatives. Mr. Wiesenthal began his career as a member of First Boston's Mergers & Acquisitions group in 1986, later joining the firm's Media Group in 1993. He was named Managing Director of CSFB in 1999 and headed CSFB's entertainment practice and digital media efforts.

As one of CSFB's lead media bankers, he advised on numerous financings and M&A transactions for a broad range of media clients including Sony Corporation of America, The Seagram Company, Time Warner, USA Networks, MacAndrews & Forbes, Cox Communications and The New York Times. During his tenure in the Media Group, notable transactions he advised on included Seagram's $5.7 billion acquisition of MCA Inc., Liberty Media's merger with TCI, News Corp's $3.2 billion purchase of New World Communications and Sony Pictures Entertainment's acquisition of Telemundo, the nation's second largest Spanish television network. In the digital media sector, he was involved in a broad range of transactions including Polo Ralph Lauren's e-commerce joint venture with NBC Inc., USA Networks acquisition of Precision Response Corp., and public and private financings for a variety of emerging digital media companies.

Mr. Wiesenthal serves on the Board of Directors of Entercom Communications Corp., the fourth largest radio broadcaster in the U.S., and is on the Board of Directors of Panavision Inc., a leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of camera systems for the motion picture and television industries. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Hamptons International Film Festival.

Mr. Wiesenthal received his B.A. degree cum laude in Political Science from University of Rochester in 1987.
