Annette Campbell-White has been since 1986 the Managing Partner of MedVenture Associates I to V, which are venture partnerships investing primarily in early stage businesses in the health care field. Previous experience in investment banking concerned chiefly positions as securities analyst and General Partner of Hambrecht & Quist. Ms. Campbell-White has a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering and M.S. degree, both from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Cutera, Inc., as well as a number of privately held companies.

John Connaughton

Mr. Connaughton is a Managing Director of Bain Capital and has been a member of the firm since 1989. He has played a leading role in transactions in the technology, media and medical industries including Hospital Corporation of America, Clear Channel, Sungard Data Systems, CRC Health Group, Warner Chilcott, AMC Theatres, MC Communications, Warner Music Group, Susquehanna Radio, ProSiebenSat1.Media AG, MCI, Houghton Mifflin, Datek, Stericycle and Dade Behring.
Mr. Connaughton currently serves as a director of Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), Sungard Data Systems, Warner Music Group (NYSE-WMG), AMC Theatres, ProSiebenSat1.Media AG (MDAX-PSMG), MC Communications, CRC Health Group, Cumulus Media Partners and The Boston Celtics. He also volunteers for a variety of charitable organizations, serving as a member of The Berklee College of Music Board of Trustees and The UVa McIntire Foundation Board of Trustees and the Children’s Hospital Board of Overseers.
Prior to joining Bain Capital, Mr. Connaughton was a strategy consultant at Bain & Company, where he worked in the consumer, technology and medical industries. Mr. Connaughton received a B.S. degree in Commerce with Distinction from the University of Virginia, and an MBA degree from Harvard University Graduate School of Business where he was a Baker Scholar.
Benjamin Edmands

Benjamin Edmands is a Managing Director in the New York office of CCMP Capital. Mr. Edmands focuses on making investments in the healthcare sector and has been responsible for CCMP's investments in Hanger, DJ Orthopedics, MedQuest Associates, CareMore Medical Enterprises and Warner Chilcott where he has worked since 1993. He holds a B.A. from Colgate University and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School. Mr. Edmands currently serves on the board of directors of CareMore Medical Enterprises, MedQuest Associates, and National Surgical Care.
Mary S. Elcano

Mary S. Elcano became Acting President and CEO of the American Red Cross on November 27, 2007. She is also General Counsel for the Red Cross, serving as the chief legal officer responsible for litigation and advice for Red Cross national headquarters, chapters and Blood Services regions for general corporate law, employment and labor law, ethics, alternative dispute resolution (ADR), mediation, federal regulatory matters, international law, estates and trusts.
Elcano also serves as the Corporate Secretary to the Board of Governors and Red Cross senior management. In that capacity she is responsible for Board resolutions and corporate records as well as advising the Board on ethics and corporate governance matters, organizing meeting agendas, minutes, logistics and planning.
Before joining the Red Cross, she was a partner in the Washington, D.C., office of Sidley Austin LLP. Elcano had an extensive practice in two areas. She advised and represented clients on postal matters in the United States and internationally. Clients included large direct mail marketing companies, express freight shippers, national logistics and printing companies, and the paper and envelope industry. Elcano also represented clients in employment law, focusing on diversity, discrimination and ADR. At Sidley, she introduced Workplace Innovations in Negotiated Solutions (WINS), a comprehensive set of ADR tools customized to fit a client's corporate culture and goals.
In 1982, Elcano embarked on what would be an 18-year career at the U.S. Postal Service. Starting as an employment law attorney, she attained successive senior management positions in Human Resources and capped her career as USPS General Counsel and Executive Vice President of Human Resources in 2000. As General Counsel, she was responsible for federal and corporate practice areas, legislative matters, litigation/ADR and was counsel to the Board of Governors. As Executive Vice President of Human Resources, Elcano directed the USPS employment, labor relations and diversity areas for an 800,000-employee workforce and created an ADR program for the Postal Service – REDRESS – which resulted in a 50 percent reduction in EEO complaints in two years.
Buddy Gumina

Buddy Gumina is a Partner at Apax Partners where he focuses on investments in healthcare services and products as well as healthcare IT. Some recent deals have included Spectrum Laboratory Network, Encompass Home Health, Voyager HospiceCare, Inc. and MagnaCare Holdings, Inc.
Prior to joining Apax Partners, Buddy was a Partner at Saunders Karp & Megrue, where he specialized in investments in healthcare and business services. Before joining Saunders Karp & Megrue, Buddy was an Associate at DLJ Merchant Banking Partners where he focused on healthcare services as well as the industrial and engineered chemical sectors. Prior to that, he was an Analyst in the High Yield Group of Kidder, Peabody & Co. where he specialized in public and private debt financings and recapitalizations.
Buddy received an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and a BA in Political Science from Yale University.

Joseph Hogan

Joseph M. Hogan is Senior Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Healthcare, a position he has held since November, 2000. Formerly US-based GE Medical Systems, GE Healthcare is now a $17 billion global business, and is currently the only GE business headquartered outside the United States. During his tenure at GE Healthcare, the business has more than doubled in revenue and has been transformed into the leading diagnostics, information technology and life sciences company worldwide.
Mr. Hogan began his career at GE in 1985 and advanced through a series of leadership roles at GE Plastics in sales, marketing and product management.
In March, 1998 Mr. Hogan was named President and Chief executive Officer of GE Fanuc Automation North America, Inc., a global supplier of industrial controls systems and a joint venture between GE and FANUC, Ltd. Japan.
Mr. Hogan earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Geneva College and an M.B.A. from Robert Morris University. He sits on the Boards of the New York Academy of Medicine, the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation and the Advisory Board of the Center for Disease Control (CDC). Mr. Hogan is also on the Board of Advamed.
Mr. Hogan and his wife live in London, and they have three sons. They enjoy various outdoor sports together.
