Jesse Eisinger was the Wall Street editor of Conde Nast Portfolio, where he wrote a November 2007 cover story titled "Wall Street Requiem," in which he predicted the demise of Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers. Before joining Portfolio, he worked at The Wall Street Journal, where he was the founding writer of two market commentary columns, and he played a leading role in exposing accounting fraud at Belgium-based Lernout & Hauspie. During his tenure at The Wall Street Journal's European edition, Eisinger won a "Best in Business" award from the London-based World Leadership Forum for his coverage of accounting irregularities at the Irish drug maker Elan Corp. Earlier in his career, he covered biotechnology and pharmaceuticals for TheStreet.com and Dow Jones Newswires.

 

Ted Gooden
Managing Director
Berkshire Capital

Mr. Gooden joined Berkshire Capital in 2000 to support transaction execution across Berkshire Capital’s practice areas. Ted has contributed to the successful completion of a variety of acquisitions for Berkshire Capital clients in the institutional asset management, wealth management, mutual fund, trust and securities sectors. He developed the firm’s hedge fund and hedge fund-of-funds industry practice and currently serves as co-head of the alternative asset management sector.

Ted brings to Berkshire Capital experience in advising foreign and domestic financial institutions on strategic issues. He joined Berkshire Capital from A.T. Kearney, a management consulting firm, where he was an Associate in the Financial Institutions Group covering clients in Europe, Asia, Australia and the Americas.

Ted earned a BS degree from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and an MBA degree from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.

 

Neal Howe

Mr. Howe joined Harbert Management Corporation as Managing Director responsible for Investor Relations in our New York office. Mr. Howe has 28 years of investment management experience having worked most recently for Merrill Lynch Investment Managers as Managing Director and Head of Consultant Relations. Mr. Howe has also held Senior Management, Sales and Relationship Management positions with other firms such as Schroder Ventures, Lazard and Fidelity. Mr. Howe holds a BS from Indiana University. He is also on the Advisory Board of The Robert Toigo Foundation and is a Past President of AIMSE.

 

Christopher Krein

Chris is the Director of Institutional Sales at WisdomTree Asset Management and is responsible for business development, marketing and Client Service efforts in the Pension, Foundation & Endowment, and Sub-Advisory markets. Prior to joining WisdomTree, Chris was a founding Principal of ACCI, a boutique investment firm and held senior business development and management roles with Evergreen Investments and SEI. He also served as a consultant with Investment Counseling, Inc. Chris currently serves on the Board of Directors of AIMSE and Philabundance.

 

Donald Steinbrugge

Don is Chairman of Agecroft Partners, a consulting and third party marketing for hedge funds. Agecroft currently has 5 hedge fund clients whose organizations average over $1 billion in assets under management.

Highlighting Don’s 25 years of experience in the investment management industry is having been the head of sales for both one of the world’s largest hedge fund organizations and institutional investment management firms. Don was a founding principal of Andor Capital Management, which was formed when he and a number of his associates spun out of Pequot Capital Management. At Andor he was Head of Sales, Marketing, and Client Service and was a member of the firm’s Operating Committee. When he left Andor, the firm ranked as the 2nd largest hedge fund firm in the world. Previous to Pequot, Don was a Managing Director and Head of Institutional Sales for Merrill Lynch Investment Managers. At that time Merrill ranked as the 3rd largest investment manager in the world. Don joined Merrill Lynch through the acquisition of Hotchkis and Wiley where he headed up sales and marketing. Previously, Don was Head of Institutional Sales for NationsBank (now Bank of America Capital Management). Don began his career in 1984 with The Travelers.

Don is a member of the Investment Committee for The City of Richmond Retirement System, the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens Endowment Fund, The Science Museum of Virginia Endowment Fund and The Richmond Sports Backers Scholarship Fund. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of The Richmond Ballet (The State Ballet of Virginia), and the University of Richmond’s Robins School of Business. Don served 2 terms as a board member of the Association of Investment Management Sales Executives.
