Usage Scenarios
Research and Development
A mid-size pharmaceutical firm wants guidance on research and development strategy from a group of scientific leaders and experienced executives for its development personnel and members of the company’s executive management. GLG can help the client design a board of five to seven scientists and former pharmaceutical executives, schedule and coordinate board meetings and leverage the GLG Survey Platform℠ to easily gather written input from board members for analytical purposes.
Commercialization
A biotechnology firm wants advice on the commercial potential of an emerging molecule as it is being developed. GLG can help the client identify three to five key opinion leaders (KOLs) with analogous commercialization expertise to supplement the client’s existing relationships and bring in a GLG Council Partner℠ experienced in board moderation to manage the board, moderate meetings, and produce deliverables based on board member interaction.
Marketing
A global medical device firm is looking to launch an existing product in a new geography with which it has little experience. GLG can help the client pull together a panel of eight to ten practitioners with expertise relevant to both the product and the geography.
The scenarios above are not case studies. Instead, the sampling demonstrates the connectivity and potential of finding and engaging experts from the GLG Councils.
