Rob Bernshteyn

Rob brings 15 years of experience in enterprise software to his position as CEO at Coupa. Prior to joining Coupa, Rob spent four years with SuccessFactors, the global leader in Performance and Talent Management delivered via the software-as-a-service model. As a member of the SuccessFactors executive management team he served as their global vice president of product marketing and management.

Rob has also directed product management at Siebel Systems, where he contributed to building their Employee Relationship Management suite of applications into Siebel’s fastest-growing product two years after launch. Before that, Rob was an associate at McKinsey & Company and a global project manager at Accenture where he managed numerous successful global SAP enterprise resource planning (ERP) software implementations.

Rob holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Systems from the State University of New York at Albany and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

 

Larry Bodner
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Del Monte Foods

Larry Bodner is Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer for Del Monte Foods, a San Francisco-based pet and consumer food company. In this role,   Mr. Bodner is responsible for the Financial Planning and Analysis, Controller, Treasury, Tax, Corporate Audit, Investor Relations, Information Technology and Procurement functions.

Mr. Bodner, who joined Del Monte in 2003 and has served in senior finance and investor roles throughout his tenure, is a consumer goods industry finance veteran with more than twenty years of experience. He was appointed to his current position in March 2011, following the acquisition of Del Monte Foods by an investor group led by funds affiliated with Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P., Vestar Capital Partners and Centerview Capital, L.P. 

Prior to his current role at Del Monte, Mr. Bodner was Executive Vice President, Finance, Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, Government/Industry Relations and Strategy, positions he was appointed to in April 2010. 

Mr. Bodner began his career in 1986 at The Procter & Gamble Company, where he held a variety of finance positions. From there, he went on to hold several senior financial positions with the Walt Disney Company. Following the Walt Disney Company, Mr. Bodner went on to become the Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer of SelfCare. Prior to joining Del Monte, Mr. Bodner was Chief Operating Officer of Market Compass, a consulting firm providing financial solutions for accredited investors, hedge funds, trading firms and institutions.

A resident of Oakland, California, Mr. Bodner received his MBA from Duke University in 1986 and a BA from Dickinson College in 1984.  

 

Robert Bryant
SVP & Chief Financial Officer
Roll Global LLC

Robert Bryant is the Chief Financial Officer and SVP of Roll Global LLC, a $2.4 billion food, beverage, and agribusiness corporation based in Los Angeles, California.  He is responsible for Accounting & Financial Reporting, Treasury & Cash Management, Financial Planning & Analysis, Mergers & Acquisitions, Global Sourcing & Procurement, Risk Management, Tax, and Corporate Aviation.

Before joining Roll Global in 2007, Mr. Bryant served as Executive Vice President of Strategy, New Business Development, and Information Technology at Grupo Industrial Saltillo, S.A.B. de C.V., one of Mexico’s largest publicly-traded diversified conglomerates.  In addition to his responsibilities as CIO and in implementing strategic and operational improvement initiatives at subsidiary companies, he led several large cross-border acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.

Prior to joining Grupo Industrial Saltillo in 2004, Mr. Bryant served as President of Bryant & Company, a professional services firm dedicated to providing interim management, turnaround consulting, and performance improvement to the portfolio companies of private equity and leveraged buyout funds. Before founding Bryant & Company in 2001, he was a Managing Principal with Texas Pacific Group’s private equity fund devoted to Latin America, Newbridge Latin America, L.P.  While with TPG, Mr. Bryant held several interim management roles and served on the Boards of Directors of portfolio companies.

Mr. Bryant began his career at Credit Suisse First Boston, where he was a Financial Analyst in the Mergers & Acquisitions Department.  From there, he worked as an Assistant Investment Officer with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), where he supported debt and equity financings in emerging markets.  Following the IFC, Mr. Bryant was a Senior Associate with Booz Allen & Hamilton Inc., a major international management consulting firm, where he led myriad large-scale consulting projects in business strategy, marketing strategy, operational restructuring, distribution, and supply chain management.

Mr. Bryant graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in Economics from the University of Florida and received his MBA with a concentration in Finance from the Harvard Business School.

Amy Chiu
Vice President, Risk Analysis and Management
Sempra Energy

Amy Chiu is vice president of risk analysis and management for Sempra Energy, a San Diego-based Fortune 500 energy services holding company whose subsidiaries provide electricity, natural gas and value-added products and services. The Sempra Energy companies’ 17,500 employees serve more than 31 million consumers worldwide.

Previously, Chiu was vice president of audit services, where she was responsible for Sempra Energy’s internal audit function. Before that, she held positions of increasing responsibility including director of business planning in the mergers and acquisitions group, manager of executive projects and manager of economic analysis.

Prior to joining Sempra Energy, Chiu held senior-level financial and actuarial analyst positions for Intelsat and Watson Wyatt Worldwide.

Chiu has a master’s degree in business administration from American University in Washington D.C., a doctorate in mathematics from Boston University and a bachelor’sdegree in mathematics from Mills College in Oakland, Calif.

 

Matt Fawcett
SVP, General Counsel
NetApp

Matthew Fawcett serves as senior vice president, general counsel, and secretary for NetApp. Matthew leads the worldwide legal team and reports to Tom Georgens, president and CEO of NetApp. In his role, Matthew is responsible for all legal affairs worldwide, including corporate governance and securities law compliance, intellectual property matters, contracts, and mergers and acquisitions.

Throughout his career, Matthew has advised several leading technology companies on a variety of legal issues, including mergers and acquisitions, patent programs, litigation, and intellectual property. Before joining NetApp, he spent 11 years as senior vice president and general counsel of JDS Uniphase Corporation, where he built a worldwide legal organization, managed dozens of acquisitions and strategic transactions, and oversaw a patent program with thousands of issued and pending patents. Prior to working at JDS Uniphase, Matthew was corporate counsel at Fujitsu America, and before then he held positions at two large international law firms.

 

Mark Hawkins
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Autodesk

Mark Hawkins is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Autodesk, Inc.  In his capacity as CFO, Mr. Hawkins oversees the controller, treasury, investor relations, tax, information technology, procurement and internal audit functions.  He reports to the CEO and chairs the company’s Operating Council. 

Prior to joining Autodesk in April 2009, Mr. Hawkins was Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Finance & IT at Logitech International SA, where he had global financial duties and was also responsible for global information technology solutions.

Before joining Logitech in early 2006, Mr. Hawkins worked with Dell, Inc., in Austin, Texas.  At Dell, he served as Vice President of Finance for the company's multibillion-dollar Worldwide Procurement and Logistics organization, as well as Vice President of Finance for the U.S. Home Segment.  He joined Dell in early 2000, after working with Hewlett-Packard for almost 19 years.  Mr. Hawkins' extensive global executive experience includes serving on the Board of Directors for HP's Japan and Shanghai Analytical Joint Ventures and living in Europe.

Mr. Hawkins serves on the Board of Directors of BMC Software.  He holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Colorado, earned a Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University, and completed the Advance Management Program at Harvard Business School. 

 

Adam King
Treasurer
Novellus Systems Inc.

Adam currently is Treasurer of Novellus Systems, responsible for cash and investment management, debt, credit & collections, FX, and risk management.  In addition to Treasurer, he is responsible for the company’s travel program.  He joined Novellus in 2007, spending three years as Sr. Director of Operations Finance and then moved into the Treasurer role.   Prior to Novellus, Adam spent eight years at Intel Corporation in various finance management positions.  He also spent 4-years with ARCO as a chemical engineer.

He has an MBA from Yale School of Management and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Oregon State University.

 

Susanna Laundy
Vice President of Operational Finance
Catholic Health Initiatives

Ms. Laundy has over thirty years of combined finance, consulting and governance experience within the not-for-profit sector; twenty-four of those years have been spent in healthcare at both local networks and multi-hospital systems.

Ms. Laundy has been at Catholic Health Initiatives for almost nine years and has served in various roles. Currently she leads a system-wide transformational improvement initiative and oversees the internal controls, governmental reimbursement, revenue cycle and ITS and Clinical IT finance areas. She participates on several oversight and steering committees for CHI initiatives.

Ms. Laundy serves on Healthcare and University Boards and various Committees. 

She earned her MSA from the University of Notre Dame and her Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Management and Religious Studies from Avila College. Ms. Laundy is a CPA and a Fellow in the Healthcare Financial Management Association.

 

Tom manages a team responsible for driving the success of Oracle's financial applications inclusive of Fusion Financials (ERP) and Hyperion Financial Close.  With over 16 years of experience working with finance organizations and financial systems from both the customer and vendor perspectives, he has deep knowledge of the challenges facing finance organizations.  During his career he has deployed ERP and EPM systems at a Fortune 500 company, realigned and designed the financial processes impacted by those implementations, including 2 regional shared services centers and is recognized as a subject matter expert in financial processes and systems.

 

Kristi Matus
Executive Vice President and CFO
USAA

As CFO for USAA, Kristi Matus is the chief steward of the association’s portfolio of owned and managed assets. Matus directs USAA’s activities in the areas of financial management to include treasury, corporate controller, taxes, strategic cost management, investments and financial analysis, as well as provides governance for USAA in risk management, underwriting and pricing and investment strategy and portfolios.

Matus joined USAA in September 2002 as Vice President, USAA Life insurance Company, responsible for pricing and product development and was promoted to President and CEO of USAA’s Life Insurance Company two years later. In January 2007, Matus became President of USAA’s Life and Investment Services and successfully integrated the sales and operations of the two organizations.

Prior to USAA, Matus served as executive vice president and chief operating officer for Thrivent Financial Bank, where she provided strategic leadership from start-up through the acquisition and integration of three savings institutions. 

Matus holds Series 7 and 24 securities licenses and is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and a fellow in both the Society of Actuaries and Life Management Institute. Most recently she was recognized as one of 100 Most Influential People in Finance by Treasury & Risk Magazine, 2010’s Most Powerful and Influential Woman of Texas by the National Diversity Council and Best CFO of Large Private Companies in 2009 by the San Antonio Business Journal. Matus currently serves on the HeartGift San Antonio Board of Directors, Concordia University Austin Board of Regents, FM Global advisory board and the Wall Street Journal CFO Network. She was a previous board member of the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI).

 

Darren McDermott
Deputy Managing Editor

Darren McDermott is Deputy Managing Editor of The Wall Street Journal Online where he is leading the launch of premium vertical editions of the site, of which CFO Journal is the first. 

Darren has been a reporter and editor at Dow Jones and the Journal for nearly 15 years, including two stints in Asia. He joined the company as a copy editor for Dow Jones Newswires in New York in 1993, and has served as the Journal’s Singapore bureau chief, New York economics reporter, Hong Kong bureau chief and deputy chief of the health and science bureau. Darren left Dow Jones briefly from 1999-2001 to serve as editor in chief of worldlyinvestor.com and then director of online editorial for the Industry Standard. 

Darren is a graduate of Amherst College where he was an Asian Studies major, and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. He is married with two daughters and lives in Westchester, NY.

 

Siobhan

Siobhan McFeeney

Siobhán McFeeney is the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer of AAA NCNU. She joined AAA in April 2003 and has led several important parts of our organization in finance and operations. Siobhán introduced NetPromoter score as a unifying measure of customer loyalty and is a passionate champion for delivering an outstanding member experience.

Ms. McFeeney is a chartered accountant with a BBS from Trinity College Dublin in Economics and Law. She also holds Masters in Finance.

Earlier in her career she worked in Audit with KPMG in Dublin and Deloitte in Chicago. She subsequently held a variety of executive roles in research and strategy, finance, and investor relations at Amoco and BP in the US and the UK. 

Siobhán was an Olympic hopeful in Triathalon as a member of the Irish national team. An enthusiastic mountaineer, she has climbed many of the 14,000+ foot peaks in the United States, Europe, and Asia. She has also summited Aconcagua and  Denali.

Siobhán lives in San Francisco with her husband and four children. She plans to summit Everest in the near future.

 

Mark Nittler

Mark Nittler brings Workday more than 20 years of broad experience in key financial application disciplines such as accounting, ERP, procurement, contract management, compliance and security. Nittler’s experience includes executive leadership positions in both product strategy and marketing, including VP, Application Strategy for PeopleSoft, VP of Strategic Marketing for Commerce One, and VP of Strategic Marketing for Symantec.

A California CPA , Mark holds a Bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California, Berkeley and a Master’s degree in Management from University of California, Irvine.

 

Sunit Patel

Sunit Patel is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Level 3 Communications (NASDAQ: LVLT).  He joined the company in March 2003 and was named CFO in May of that year.

Sunit was formerly CFO and a co-founder of Looking Glass Networks, Inc., a facilities-based provider of metropolitan telecommunication transport services.  Prior to co-founding Looking Glass he was Treasurer of long distance service provider MCI WorldCom from 1997 to March 2000.  From 1994 to 1997 he was Treasurer of MFS Communications, Inc., a competitive local exchange carrier acquired by WorldCom.  From 1990 to 1994 Sunit was responsible for corporate development and strategic planning for BJ Services Company (NYSE: BJS).  Prior to that he worked in investment banking from 1985 to 1990.

Sunit is a Chartered Financial Analyst.  He received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering and Economics from Rice University.

 

Jonathan Rollins

Jonathan Rollins, CFA is vice president and treasurer of Health Net, Inc. He manages the company’s banking, investment management and rating agency relationships. In addition, Mr. Rollins directs the company’s cash and investment strategy and manages Health Net’s capital structure and cash flow.

Mr. Rollins joined Health Net in November 2008. Before joining Health Net, he held various positions at The Bank of New York, serving as vice president and team leader for its Healthcare and Western Divisions. Before joining The Bank of New York, Mr. Rollins served as an intelligence analyst in the U.S. Navy. He also serves as a commander of intelligence in the United States Navy Reserve.

Mr. Rollins received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the New York Society of Security Analysts.

Mandana Sadigh

Ms. Mandana Sadigh has been Senior Vice President and Treasurer of Mattel, Inc. since November 2010. She served as Senior Vice President, Mattel Brands Finance and Strategy from October 2005 to November 2010. From January 2001 to October 2005, she served as Senior Vice President in various leadership roles, including Corporate Strategic Planning, Sales Strategy, and International Finance. From December 1999 until January 2001, she served as Vice President and Assistant Controller. From August 1991 to December 1999, she served in various Corporate Finance positions. Prior to joining Mattel, Ms. Sadigh spent 8 years in the banking industry.

Anil Suri

Anil K. Suri is Vice President and Chief Risk and Audit Officer for PG&E Corporationand Pacific Gas and Electric Company. He is responsible for overseeing the company'senterprise-wide risk management, internal audit, compliance and ethics, market andcredit risk management, insurance and corporate security functions.

Suri joined PG&E in 2010 after owning and operating a risk management consultancyin New York, where he advised utility-industry senior management in the renewables,fuel supply and new generation markets, and managed market and credit risk ofgeneration assets, pipelines and regulatory assets for utilities and other energy providers.

Prior to that, Suri founded the electricity hedging business as Managing Director ofWells Fargo Bank N.A. He served as CEO of E-lecTrade, Inc., which provided electricityprocurement, sales, structuring and trading services for the energy industry, and was afounding partner of The Risk Partners, LLC, where he marketed risk advisory and risktransfer services to utilities, pension funds and insurance companies.

Suri has also worked as a scientist at Yale University and as an oceanographer atHarvard University, where he earned his PhD in fluid turbulence. He holds an MBAin finance from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Science in mechanicalengineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi.
