Michael Babikian
Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer

Michael M. Babikian is executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Transamerica Brokerage Group, a marketing unit for Transamerica Life Insurance Company and its affiliates. He is responsible for all marketing functions for Transamerica Brokerage Group. He is also the chief product officer and oversees all life insurance product design, development and management for the Transamerica Life & Protection division.

Babikian joined Transamerica in 2003 as an advanced marketing consultant. In this role, he developed customized solutions for a variety of insurance and investment needs. He was later named vice president of strategic marketing services, a group that included advanced marketing, premium financing and field education. Babikian served as senior vice president of marketing before being promoted to chief marketing officer.

Prior to joining Transamerica, Babikian was general counsel to Infinite Source Technologies, Inc., where he advised on all legal and tax matters. Previously, as an attorney for the tax law firm of Baker, Olson,LeCroy & Danielian, he advised clients on tax and business matters, including entity creation, mergers and acquisitions and exit strategies. He also worked as a tax specialist in KPMG’s Multi-Family Office—where he consulted with ultra-high-net-worth clients and their tax and legal counsels on complex financial, tax and estate planning issues— and in the legal department of the California Franchise Tax Board and the Internal Revenue Service.

Babikian is chairman of the board of directors and a professor at Glendale University College of Law. He has served as a member of the board of trustees for the Glendale Bar Association and as the chairman of the board of directors for the Glendale Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service. He was the committee chair for the Continuing Legal Education Committee of the Armenian Bar Association and was a member of the American Bar Association’s Tax Committee for Exempt Organizations. Babikian is also chairman of the board of directors of the Children’s Music Fund, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide musical instruments and music therapy to children, adolescents and young adults with chronic and lifealtering illnesses. Babikian is a board member of the Chief Marketing Officer Council.

After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of California at Irvine, Babikian went on to receive a law degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. He subsequently earned a master of laws in taxation at the University of San Diego and a master of business administration from the University of Southern California. Babikian also completed executive education at Harvard Business School.

Lori Halivopoulos

A strategic marketing leader, Lori is currently SVP Marketing for GfK Custom Research North America, part of the GfK Group. In this role, Lori is responsible for setting marketing strategy and managing the day-to-day operations of the marketing communications team. This includes overseeing development of the company’s corporate positioning, defining and directing marketing strategy, marketing program management and providing executive leadership of the marketing team.

With over 20 years of business experience in marketing and strategic development, Lori consistently delivers the insight, leadership and energy required to create branding and marketing initiatives and strategic plans that positively impact the bottom line over the long term. As a strategic thinker focused on effective ways to leverage consumer and customer insights, she has successfully led global branding and strategy projects across various industries, such as food and beverage, media and entertainment, hospitality, pharmaceuticals, financial services and the non-profit sector.

Before joining GfK, she was a Partner at The Sage Network, a strategic marketing consulting firm. Prior to this, she was Vice President, Strategic Planning, Branding and Corporate Communications, at Wyndham Worldwide and before that a Senior Consultant at Frank N. Magid Associates, Inc., a leading research-based strategic consulting firm. Her career began in the FMCG business where she spent many years at Kraft Foods and held positions in business development, corporate strategy, and product management for a series of well-known brands including SnackWell’s cookies and crackers, Cream of Wheat and Cool Whip.

Lori earned an MBA in Marketing from The Stern School at New York University and a BA in Economics and French from Tufts University, where she is a member of the Alumni Admissions Program. She is an active member and former president of The Pingry School Alumni Association and was a member of the school’s Board of Trustees.

 

Jerry Inman

Mr. Inman brings over 20 years experience in marketing communications, integrated media, branding, advertising, customer retention and growth programs. Prior to joining 7thonline, he served as the Global Vice President of Marketing for iMANY, the leader in contract performance, where he was responsible for rebranding the company, increasing market share and raising the company's awareness in new markets. Prior to that, Mr. Inman served as the Vice President of Marketing for Lectra, the global leader in fashion technology solutions, where he was responsible for significant revenue growth through the development and deployment of integrated marketing strategies, lead generation, and marketing communications programs. He has also held senior marketing positions at leading enterprise software organizations including Information Builders and CA Technologies. Mr. Inman received a BA in Business Administration from Rider University in Lawrenceville, N.J.
