Bruce Campbell

Discovery Communications
Bruce Campbell leads global business development and mergers and acquisitions for Discovery Communications, as well as overseeing business affairs and global production management. In addition, he is responsible for all legal affairs for the company, serving as the chief legal advisor to the company's management team and board of directors.
Campbell has led the origination and execution of some of the company's most significant transactions, including network joint ventures with Oprah Winfrey, Hasbro and Sony/IMAX. In addition, he directed Discovery's acquisitions of HowStuffWorks.com, the award-winning knowledge-based website; TreeHugger.com, the leading eco-lifestyle destination on the web; and Cox Communications, Inc.'s 25% minority stake in Discovery.
Prior to assuming the General Counsel role as part of his responsibilities, Campbell also served as President of Discovery's Digital Media businesses, including all of the company's U.S.-based websites, mobile platforms, online syndication and commerce efforts. Under his leadership, Discovery's digital properties achieved historically high levels of traffic, video views and revenue.
Before joining Discovery in 2007, Campbell was Executive Vice President, Business Development, for NBC Universal, where he was responsible for strategic planning, M&A and portfolio investments. He also represented NBCU on a number of corporate boards, including A&E TV Networks, National Geographic Channel International, MSNBC.com and the Universal Orlando Theme Parks.
Campbell played an integral role in a series of NBCU acquisitions, including Telemundo in 2002 and Vivendi Universal Entertainment in 2004. Immediately prior to leaving NBCU, Campbell represented the company in negotiating the online video joint venture with News Corp that eventually became Hulu.
Campbell began his career as a lawyer with the Los Angeles firm of O'Melveny & Myers LLP, where he specialized in corporate and securities law. He holds degrees from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public & International Affairs and Harvard Law School. He currently serves on the Board of Advisors of the Smithsonian National Zoo.

Mr. Casazza joined Aetna’s Law & Regulatory Affairs department in 1992. He was promoted to Vice President and Deputy General Counsel in 1997 and to Corporate Secretary in 1999.
Previously, Mr. Casazza was engaged in the private practice of law with Sullivan & Cromwell, a Wall Street law firm, specializing in corporate/securities law matters and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to that, Mr. Casazza was a Certified Public Accountant with Ernst & Young.

Eric I Cohen joined the Company on January 1, 1998 as Senior Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel of the Company.
Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Cohen was a partner with the New York City law firm of Robinson Silverman Pearce Aronsohn & Berman LLP (now Bryan Cave LLP) since January 1992 and was an associate attorney with that firm from 1983 to 1992. Mr. Cohen’s practice was in the general corporate and corporate securities area and his responsibilities included advising management and boards of directors of small, mid-size and large corporations in day-to-day legal and business matters, structuring and negotiating acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, private and public offerings of equity and debt securities, registrations under the federal securities laws, and other related responsibilities.
Mr. Cohen is a member of the Terex senior executive leadership team and his responsibilities include the management of all global legal affairs, SEC matters, product safety, ethics and compliance, as well as participation in the general management, strategy, and administrative aspects of Terex’s business. Mr. Cohen has been involved in the completion of numerous acquisitions, financings, offerings, as well as providing the legal framework and counseling for the company’s growth over the past 14 years.
Mr. Cohen received his Bachelor of Arts, Cum Laude, from Brandeis University, and his Juris Doctor, Magna Cum Laude, from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. Mr. Cohen is currently a board member of the Westchester Southern Connecticut Chapter of the Associate of Corporate Counsel and a board member of The Pro Bono Partnership.

Rick Cotton

Rick Cotton was named executive vice president and general counsel of NBCUniversal in August 2004. He supervises the NBCUniversal Law Department, which provides legal advice to all NBCUniversal business units for their ongoing operations and for new strategic plans and acquisitions. In addition, he oversees NBCUniversal's global regulatory and legislative agenda, including the company’s worldwide anti-piracy efforts. Cotton reports to both Steve Burke, chief executive officer of NBCUniversal, and Pat Fili-Krushel, executive vice president of NBCUniversal.
In January 2007 Cotton was named Chairman of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce cross-sector Coalition Against Counterfeiting and Piracy (CACP), which represents over 500 companies and associations who have come together to fight the vital economic battle against counterfeiting and piracy. He serves on the Steering Committee of BASCAP, Business Action to Stop Counterfeiting and Piracy, an arm of the International Chamber of Commerce dedicated to the enforcement and protection of intellectual property rights worldwide.
From 2000 to 2004, Cotton served as president and managing director of London-based CNBC Europe. Under his leadership CNBC Europe expanded its reach across Europe to 85 million homes; developed programming partnerships in Germany, Italy, Turkey, Russia, and the Middle East; and won brand recognition throughout the European business and financial communities.
Before joining CNBC Europe Cotton served as executive vice president and general counsel of NBC, a position he held for eleven years. From 1987 to 1989, Cotton was the president and chief executive officer of Washington-based management company HCX Inc. From 1980 to 1986, he was in private practice, specializing in health and environmental regulation, First Amendment and libel issues, and litigation in federal and state courts at the trial and appellate levels.
He was appointed the deputy executive secretary of the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare under Secretary Joseph A. Califano in 1977 and was named the executive secretary in 1978. In 1980 he became the special counsel to Deputy Secretary John Sawhill of the U.S. Department of Energy. Prior to his government service, Cotton worked for two public interest legal organizations and taught law for a year at the Boalt Hall Law School at the University of California at Berkeley.
Cotton served as law clerk to Judge J. Skelly Wright of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit from 1969 to 1970 and to Justice William J. Brennan Jr. of the Supreme Court of the United States from 1970 to 1971.
After completing his undergraduate degree in 1965 at Harvard, Cotton joined Newsweek magazine as a correspondent in the Chicago bureau. In 1969 he graduated cum laude from the Yale Law School, where he was the executive editor of the Yale Law Journal. He lives in New York and has two children, Rachel and Jon.

David Falck

David Falck is executive vice president, general counsel and secretary of Pinnacle West Capital Corporation and its primary subsidiary, Arizona Public Service Company (APS).
Falck is responsible for overseeing all facets of the company’s legal affairs as well as the company’s state and federal Public Affairs groups.
Falck joined Pinnacle West in 2009 and has more than 30 years of experience as a legal advisor to public and private companies. Prior to joining Pinnacle West, he was Senior Vice President-Law for New Jersey-based Public Service Enterprise Group Inc., and served as a member of its executive officer group.
Before his employment with PSEG, Falck was a partner in the New York office of national law firm Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP. His practice concentrated in mergers and acquisitions, financing and strategic advice for a range of clients in the energy, manufacturing and telecommunications industries in the U.S. and abroad. Falck served on the Managing Board of Pillsbury and as co-head of its national corporate and securities practice group.
Falck is a member of the planning committee of the Edison Electric Institute Legal Committee and a frequent speaker on legal issues affecting public companies. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Northern Arizona University Foundation, the Working Board of the National Institute for Civil Discourse and the President’s Cabinet of the Musical Instrument Museum. He also serves on the boards of a number of Pinnacle West subsidiaries.

Marc Gary is the Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Fidelity Investments, one of the world's largest providers of financial services, including investment management, retirement planning, portfolio guidance, brokerage, benefits outsourcing, and many other financial products and services to more thank 20 million individuals and institutions. He heads a legal department of more than 200 legal professionals and serves as a member of the Fidelity Executive Committee.
Prior to joining Fidelity in 2007, Marc served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of BellSouth Corporation, a Fortune 100 telecommunications company, where he also was a member of the Chairman's Strategic Options Council and chaired the company's Compliance Policy Board. During his seven years at BellSouth, Marc led a transformation effort that earned the BellSouth Legal Department recognition as one of Corporate Counsel Magazine's four best legal departments in the country in 2006.
Marc began his legal career in Washington, D.C., where he was a partner and co-head of the litigation practice of Mayer, Brown & Platt (now Mayer Brown LLP). From 1990 to 1992, he took a leave of absence from his firm to serve as Associate Independent Counsel in the federal Office of Independent Counsel where he investigated and procecuted criminal wrongdoing of Cabinet-level and other senior government officials.
Marc was electred a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and a member of the American Law Institute. Among other professional and civic activities, he serves as the Vice Chair of Equal Justice Works, Co-Chair of the Georgetown University Law Center Corporate Counsel Institute, a member of the Executive Committee of Greater Boston Legal Services, a member of the Board of Directors of the National Chamber Litigation Center, and a member of the Advisory Board of the Rappaport Center for Public Interest Law.
Marc is the recipient of the Laurie Zelon Award for leadership in pro bono, diversity, and community service presented by the Pro Bono Institute. He also recieved a special commendation from the Georgia Supreme Court for his work as the first Chair of the Court's Access to Justice Committee.
Marc graduated from Northwestern University with Highest Distinction and Georgetown University Law Center, where he was an editor of the Georgetown Law Journal.

Alan Kreczko

Alan J. Kreczko is executive vice president and general counsel of The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc., a role he assumed in June 2007. In this capacity, Kreczko oversees the law department, government affairs, and compliance. Additionally Kreczko chairs the company’s Environment Committee.
Kreczko joined The Hartford in September 2003. Prior to joining The Hartford, he held various senior positions within the United States Government. Until 2002, he was the acting Assistant Secretary of State for Population, Refugees and Migration, where he led the State Department’s response to humanitarian crises in conflict situations, including Afghanistan, Timor, Sudan and West Africa. Prior to that position, he had served as legal advisor to President Clinton’s National Security Council. He has also served as Deputy General Counsel to the Department of State and as legal advisor to the President of the United States’ personal representatives for Middle East negotiations.
He earned his J.D. from University of Michigan Law School and a B.A. from Boston College.

Maryanne Lavan

Maryanne R. Lavan was appointed Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Lockheed Martin Corporation effective June 25, 2010. Subsequently, on September 24, 2010, her role was expanded to include the Corporate Secretary responsibilities for the Corporation, resulting in her current title of Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. She is responsible for management of the Corporation’s legal affairs and law department, including serving as counsel to Lockheed Martin Corporation’s senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
Prior to her current position, she served as Vice President of Internal Audit, providing independent assessments of governance, internal controls and risk management across Lockheed Martin Corporation. Ms. Lavan joined Lockheed Martin in 1990 as an attorney and served in increasingly responsible positions within the Lockheed Martin legal department.

In his role, Mr. Mariano works from the New York and Washington D.C. offices with Fortune 500 corporations and AmLaw 100 law firms in the northeastern United States to help clients improve their strategies for handling complex discovery matters while creating greater cost and control efficiencies throughout the discovery process.
Before joining Applied Discovery, Mr. Mariano served as a senior internet business development consultant for a Fortune 100 communications company. In this role, he coordinated strategic relationships with other Fortune 100 companies and spoke on the emerging internet medium as a vehicle to advance a company’s message to a global market.
Mr. Mariano also previously practiced law for 5+ years with a focus on securities litigation and investigations. As part of his practice, he gained experience managing document reviews on Concordance and various Web-based solutions.

Thomas Moriarty is Medco’s General Counsel and Secretary, responsible for the oversight of all legal, regulatory, public policy and corporate governance functions. In addition, he is President of Medco’s Global Pharmaceutical Strategies group, with responsibility for relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, drug purchasing analysis, and consulting with clients on formulary drug lists and plan design.

Mark Roellig

He has been with MassMutual since 2005.
In his capacity as MassMutual’s General Counsel, Mr. Roellig is responsible for all the legal affairs of the Company and advises management and the board of directors to ensure that MassMutual complies with corporate-governance requirements and safeguards the interests of MassMutual’s policyholders. From 2002 to 2005, Mr. Roellig served as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Storage Technology Corporation (“StorageTek”), a data-storage-solution company. There, he held responsibility for all legal and public-policy issues and also supported the activities of the board of directors while simultaneously managing worldwide marketing and corporate strategy activities. Prior to joining Storage Technology, Mr. Roellig served in various legal positions with U S WEST Inc., where he ultimately became Executive Vice President of Public Policy, Human Resources and Law, Secretary and General Counsel. He began his career practicing civil litigation with the Seattle law firms of Reed, McClure, Moceri and Thonn and Perey and Smith.
Born in Michigan in 1955, Mr. Roellig received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Michigan, then went on to earn his law degree from George Washington University and his M.B.A. from the University of Washington in Seattle. Mr. Roellig and his wife, Lisa, reside in Simsbury, Connecticut.

Bart Schwartz is Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary of Assurant, a premier provider of specialized insurance products and related services in North America and selected other markets. Mr. Schwartz has overall responsibility for the legal affairs of Assurant, Inc. and its subsidiaries, and supervisory responsibility for Assurant’s compliance, legal, regulatory and government relations staff.
Mr. Schwartz joined Assurant in April 2008. Mr. Schwartz began his legal career in 1978 with Debevoise & Plimpton in New York and later joined the Los Angeles office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. Mr. Schwartz is a frequent writer and speaker on corporate governance, securities law, mergers and acquisitions and other corporate law topics. He is General Editor and a principal author of the two-volume treatise Corporate Governance: Law and Practice (Lexis/Nexis Matthew Bender, 2005, with annual updates).
Mr. Schwartz lives in New York City and has two children, a daughter in college and a son in high school.

Andy Smith has been a corporate and securities attorney with Sichenzia Ross Friedman Ference LLP since February 2008. Prior to going SRFF, Mr. Smith was the President and General Counsel of Getty Realty Corp., a NYSE-listed REIT. Mr. Smith joined Getty in May 2003 as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Six months later he was promoted to Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary and shortly thereafter was selected by the independent Directors of Getty to become its President.
Prior to joining Getty, Mr. Smith served as a Managing Director of The Alpine Group, a real estate and business consulting firm. From 1997 to 1999, Mr. Smith was the General Counsel, VP-Real Estate and Secretary for Discovery Zone, Inc., the largest owner-operator of children’s entertainment centers in North America and from 1995 to 1996, he served as the General Counsel, VP-Operations and Secretary for Influence, Inc., a multi-national medical device manufacturer. From 1986 to 1994, Mr. Smith was a real estate and corporate finance partner with Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP, a top-tier international law firm headquartered in New York City.
Mr. Smith attended college at Tulane University in New Orleans, La., where he received a BA, with honors in 1974 and received his JD from University of Miami Law School in 1977.
He has lectured for the Practicing Law Institute and Prentice Hall. He has authored and co-authored several debt restructuring related publications and is a contributing author to The Corporate Counsellor’s Deskbook, published by Aspen Law & Business. Mr. Smith also continues to be a regular consultant to investment advisory firms and investment funds regarding retail petroleum distribution business acquisitions, financings and operations.

Dr. Dubravka Tosic is an Economist and Principal at ERS Group, a national leader in economic and statistical consulting. She rejoined ERS Group in early 2010, after 12 years as a Director in the Dispute Analysis practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP in New York. Dr. Tosic has a wealth of experience in leading and managing projects for private and public sector clients, and their in-house and outside counsel, involving economic and statistical analyses and damage calculations in a wide variety of complex disputes, litigation and arbitration matters, and pro-active risk management and compliance reviews.
Dr. Tosic’s primary areas of expertise are labor and employment (wage and hour, employment discrimination issues involving various employer actions such as hiring, promotion, termination, compensation studies, and reductions-in-force analyses) and complex commercial litigation and disputes. She has provided assistance as consulting expert or testifying expert to address issues of class certification, liability, and estimated damages. Additionally, Dr. Tosic has performed pro-active risk management and compliance reviews and audits, and management consulting projects involving process reviews and data analytics.
Dr. Tosic received her Master’s degree and Ph.D. in economics from Florida State University and her Bachelor’s degree from University of Maryland, and previously worked at ERS Group from 1991-1996.

Mr. Volkert began his staffing industry career when he joined Robert Half in 1999 and has served as vice president of national accounts for the company. He has been instrumental in the expansion of Robert Half Legal, which has locations in major North American and international markets, and the company’s e-discovery services offering.
Mr. Volkert advises clients on the strategic use of project teams for e-discovery and document review, temporary legal support and full-time staff to cost-effectively manage business fluctuations and workload increases. He also specializes in legal search.
Prior to his employment with Robert Half Legal, Mr. Volkert worked as a litigator with McGrane & Nosich in Coral Gables, Florida where he focused on complex litigation, insurance defense, medical malpractice and product liability. Prior McGrane & Nosich, he was an associate at Ford & Sinclair in Miami, Florida.
A noted author and speaker, Mr. Volkert helped develop the company’s alliance partnerships with the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists, Association of Corporate Counsel, Association of Legal Administrators and Minority Corporate Counsel Association. He is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law where he received a juris doctor and holds a bachelor of arts degree in political science from Furman University. Steven Zipperstein

Steven E. Zipperstein is vice president – legal and external affairs, general counsel and secretary for Verizon Wireless, responsible for the company’s legal, regulatory, compliance, and federal and state public policy matters.
Zipperstein has served as vice president and general counsel of Verizon Wireless since January 2004. Prior to that he was deputy general counsel for Verizon Communications from June 2000 through December 2003, and previously served as deputy general counsel for GTE Corporation.
Before joining GTE in 1997, Zipperstein served as Chief Assistant United States Attorney in Los Angeles and held a variety of positions at the Justice Department in Washington, D.C. in both the first Bush and Clinton administrations.
Zipperstein also taught for several years as an adjunct professor at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. He began his legal career with Hufstedler, Miller, Carlson & Beardsley in downtown Los Angeles in 1983.
Zipperstein earned his juris doctor degree from the University of California at Davis and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California at Los Angeles.
