Pat Brosseau is Vice-President, Human Resources for HSBC Bank Canada.  HSBC Bank Canada, a subsidiary of HSBC Holdings plc, has more than 260 offices, including over 140 bank branches, and is the leading international bank in Canada. With around 7,500 offices in over 80 countries and territories and assets of US$2,691 billion at 30 June 2011, the HSBC Group is one of the world’s largest banking and financial services organizations.

In Pat’s current role she is responsible for the HR function for Commercial Banking as well as leading Employee Relations for the Canadian business. Bina Chaurasia

Chaurasia has experience across different industries, including IT and retail. She joins Ericsson from Hewlett Packard where she is the Vice President of Global Talent responsible for talent management, learning and development, executive development, diversity, and staffing. Chaurasia has been with HP since 2007.

Chaurasia joined HP from Gap where she was the Vice President of Global Human Resources. She was responsible for driving HR strategy for the company and leading International and Corporate HR, worldwide Supply Chain, and the Outlet and Online divisions. Chaurasia also held senior HR leadership roles at Sun Microsystems and PepsiCo/Yum.

Ron Garonzik

Dr. Garonzik has worked in the private and public sectors, with domestic, international and global organizations. He partners with clients on a range of strategic talent management initiatives – the identification of high potential talent, development of senior leadership talent, executive succession as aligned to the demands of changing business priorities, and CEO succession. Ron has worked with a broad range of leadership teams to enhance integration, decision-making and business performance.

He conducted marine-based human performance studies and developed selection systems for naval operations officers.

Dr. Garonzik was, until 2006, Global Expertise Leader for Talent Management and Executive Assessment at the Hay Group, and a long-serving member of Hay Group’s McClelland Center for Research & Innovation leadership team.

Ron has helped clients implement large scale organizational change efforts that incorporate strategy clarification and top executive team alignment, the setting and cascading of strategic accountabilities, and the leveraging of human capital to enable clients to achieve their strategic objectives. Ron’s executive and CEO succession practice is international in scope, and he consults at the board level.

Ron holds a B.S. from the University of Pittsburgh, an M.A. from Tel-Aviv University, and a Ph.D. from Boston University, all in psychology. His doctoral work targeted the identification of personal and organizational factors leading to the successful expatriation of international assignees of multinational companies. Ron was the recipient of Boston University’s Graduate School Prize for Teaching Excellence. In 1993, he received the American Society for Training and Development’s Organizational Development Practice Award for his doctoral research. He is a registered psychologist in the State of Israel, and a member of the American Psychological Association. His research and thought leadership have been published in a variety of professional and trade journals.

Bryan Gillette

Dan Henkle

Dan Henkle is a 19+ year veteran within Gap Inc., and has held a variety of key roles within the company, including the Global head of HR for Gap Brand, the SVP of Global Responsibility and the SVP of Gap Inc. HR. 

He currently leads the HR & Communications team for Gap Inc.’s largest brand, Old Navy.  In this role, Dan oversees all aspects of HR and Communications throughout the brand, in service to the 50,000 Old Navy employees.  Additionally, Dan is the Chair of the Gap Inc. Human Resources Leadership Team, which includes all of the HR brand and solution center leaders across the company.       

He received his MBA with an emphasis on Organizational Behavior from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.  He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Social Accountability International and also serves on the Gap Foundation Board of Trustees.

Marianne Jackson

Marianne Jackson has over 25 years of experience in the Human Resource management field, spanning both the healthcare and technology industries. Her areas of expertise include organizational effectiveness, executive coaching, workforce optimization, strategic planning and culture-shaping.

Ms. Jackson is currently Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Community Relations, and Internal Communications for Blue Shield of California– one of the three largest health plans in the state. She has held the position since 2003.

Prior to joining Blue Shield, Ms. Jackson served in Senior Vice President and Vice President roles at Palm Inc., Cisco Systems, SanDisk Corporation and Logitech. She has also held executive leadership positions with Silicon Graphics and Sun Microsystems. Ms. Jackson currently serves on, the Board of Trustees for the Health Trust of Silicon Valley and The Blue Shield Foundation Board of Trustees. She previously held board positions with Catholic Charities, Santa Clara University and San Jose State University’s advisory board for its Business School/Human Resources.

Ms. Jackson is a frequent speaker on a variety of topics. She has addressed audiences such as: The Corporate Leadership Council, Oracle World, the HR Strategy Forum, The Economist Forum, and IMD International, a global business school. She has authored articles and spoken on the topic of Corporate Wellness – most recently in Forbes Magazine, LA Chamber Directory and CAL Broker Journal.

Jing Liao

Prior to joining Atmel, Ms. Liao served as Vice President of Global Human Resources for Avanex Corporation, where she was responsible for architecting and establishing an HR department tasked to support the restructuring and growth plan of the company. Previously Ms. Liao held HR leadership positions at Hyperion, JDS Uniphase and Adaptec. Nancy Long

Nancy Long is Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for Hitachi Data Systems. She is responsible for all aspects of HR throughout HDS including HRIS, Workforce Planning/Staffing, Total Compensation, Performance Management, Management Development/Leadership Succession Planning, Employee Survey and Diversity/Advocacy, HR-Legal Compliance and OD/Management Support Consulting. She is the 2009 recipient of the HR Symposium’s “HR Leader of the Year” and the American Business Award for “Best Executive” and “Mentor of the Year.”  Her business acumen, experience and background is unique among HR professionals.

Nancy spent 24 years with Hewlett-Packard, most recently as Vice President, HR for Global Marketing. She held numerous executive level roles at HP, with responsibilities at a global level, overseeing large teams disbursed across multiple countries.  Nancy’s career spans multiple functions including Human Resources, Executive Development, R&D, Technical Marketing, and Information Technology.  Prior to HP, Nancy worked at United Airlines as a Systems Analyst.

Prior to joining HDS in 2006, Nancy was Senior Vice President at O’Connor Hospital, where she led the HR function in an entirely new industry from her prior experience. During her time at O’Connor, she successfully negotiated key union contracts winning accolades from both union and management.

Nancy holds a Masters degree in Human Resources and Organization Development from University of San Francisco. She has specialist certificates from University of Chicago, Harvard University, Menninger Institute and West Valley College in multiple HR disciplines. She is certified in The Birkman Method, MBTI and TAIS.  Nancy is a member of the San Jose State Advisory Board, Silicon Valley Leadership Group, California Human Resource Strategic Partnership, and the Santa Clara Valley Strategic Human Resources Management organization.

Dan Parisi is a BTS Global Partner and the Managing Director of BTS San Francisco.  

Mr. Parisi began his career at BTS USA in 1995 as a consultant and business simulation facilitator.  During his career at BTS, he has pioneered the application of highly customized business simulations for leading Fortune 500 clients such as Hewlett-Packard, Texas Instruments, Toyota, and others. Much of Dan’s work focuses on providing an opportunity for senior managers and executives to practice implementing business decisions in a simulated environment, in order to accelerate strategic alignment and execution back on the job.  He has personally facilitated simulation experiences focused on building business acumen and strategic insight for more than 8,000 executives and managers.    

Mr. Parisi is the co-author of “Creating a Customer Centric Culture: Walking a Mile in the Customer's Shoes” at Texas Instruments and “Using Business Simulations for Executive Development.” Training magazine named him one of the 10 Top Young Trainers in the U.S. for 2008. Debbie Pollock-Berry

John Rooney

Gautam Srivastava

Gautam Srivastava is responsible for all aspects of LSI’s global corporate marketing organization, including brand management, corporate communications and events. He also oversees human resources, including compensation and benefits, talent management and employee relations; in addition, Srivastava manages the relationship and works with the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors. Prior to joining LSI in 2009, he held a number of executive positions at Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. Most recently, he was vice president, sales and marketing and managing director, Middle East Africa and Pakistan; he lived in Dubai, UAE and led in-region sales, marketing and public affairs. Prior to this role, Srivastava was vice president, sales and marketing, and chief of staff to the chief sales and marketing officer. Before that he was vice president, compensation and benefits. Prior to AMD, Srivastava was a Principal at Mercer Consulting, where he consulted to a number of technology companies.  He has also held finance and business development positions in several start-ups. Srivastava is a native of San Francisco and received a BA in business economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.

 

Gabrielle Toledano

Gabrielle Toledano, Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Facilities, Electronic Arts, Inc., is responsible for EA's global staffing and resourcing, benefits and compensation, training and development, rewards and recognition, Corporate Social Responsibility, Facilities and Corporate Services.

Prior to joining EA, Ms. Toledano served as CHRO at Siebel Systems. Prior to that, she served seven years with Microsoft and five years prior to that with Oracle Corporation. Her portfolio has included a wide range of HR assignments including international work, most notably in Latin America. Gabrielle is bilingual and received her bachelor and master degrees from Stanford University, followed by a Rotary Scholarship assignment in Santiago, Chile.

Gabrielle served on the Board of Directors of the Society of Human Resources Management and is now on the Board of Directors of Big City Mountaineers.

Joe is new to San Francisco having moved with his wife from Los Angeles where they had lived since 1978. He has three children who reside in Los Angeles.

Core-Mark International operates 26 distribution centers in the US and Canada with about 5000 employees.

 

Karen Weisz

Karen Weisz is the vice president of Human Resources and Corporate Services for Standard Insurance Company with responsibility for Human Resources and Corporate Services. She joined The Standard in 2008 as vice president of Human Resources and in January 2009 was promoted to vice president of Human Resources and Corporate Services.

Before joining The Standard she was with Intel Corporation, most recently as the Human Resources Director of new and emerging Platform Business Groups.  During more than 12 years at Intel, she held progressively senior management roles in Human Resources and Learning and Organizational Development, including overseeing Intel University.  Prior to this Karen was a teacher with San Francisco public schools in both general and bilingual education.

She is a graduate of University of California at Santa Cruz where she holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology and Literature.  She earned a Masters of Science degree in Educational Policy & Administration from Portland State University.

Weisz serves on the board of directors of All Hands Raised (formerly Portland Schools Foundation) and is a founding member and vice president of the Portland Public Schools Special Education PTA.  She is an adjunct instructor in the School of Business at Portland State University and frequent speaker  on issues related to human resource management.  She is also active in a number of local organizations committed to women's leadership, education and disability advocacy.
