Jackie Gordon is the Sr. Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer for the YMCA of the USA in Chicago and has been there since 2009. From 2001 until 2009, Jackie held a number of positions with the YMCA of Greater San Antonio including Sr. V.P. of Human Resources and Risk Management. Before she joined the YMCA, Jackie had been the Vice President of Human Resources for a number of retail companies: The Home Depot Stores, Builders Square Stores (Kmart Corp), and HEB Grocery Stores in Texas and Mexico. Jackie is a graduate of University of Houston with a B.A. degree in English and Speech. She is a lifetime certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a certified YMCA Organizational Leader.
Jackie is a member of SHRM and Chicago SHRM where she served on the Board of Directors of Chicago SHRM, leading the Diversity Committee from 2010-2014. She is also a member the HR Advisory Committee for Keller School of Management at DeVry University. Jackie is also an active member and panelist for National Human Services Assembly, Washington, DC.
Volunteer work in Y activities as well as any organization with a link to human resources and diversity keeps Jackie active when not traveling between Houston and Chicago.
