As oil prices continue to soar, industry observers wonder if a peak is in sight. Meanwhile, CEOs, CFOs and COOs across most industries are dealing with higher transportation and related costs due to the gain in fuel prices. All of which comes at a time when the American Consumer is tapped out on credit, and depressed after seeing the value of their homes plummet.
It is against this backdrop that Argyle Executive Forum presents this market intelligence briefing, which will examine oil prices and its impact on business and consumer spending. Offering a perspective on energy is Michael McMahon, founder of Pine Brook Road Partners, LLC, who has over three decades of experience in the sector. McMahon will help make sense of the “goulash of factoids” circling oil prices. In addition, Livingstone Johnson of The Coca-Cola Company will be giving his perspective on the impact of higher energy costs of doing business in the consumer product sector. Dana Telsey, CEO and Chief Research Officer of research and advisory firm TAG, will discuss the impact of high oil prices on the retail sector. On the call, Argyle will also reveal results of an executive survey on fuel prices.
