Rick Burton
Chief Marketing Officer
United States Olympic Committee
Rick Burton, an internationally respected marketing executive with 30 years of experience in the sports and entertainment industries, joined the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) as the organization’s Chief Marketing Officer on October 1, 2007. Burton previously served as commissioner of the National Basketball League (NBL) in Sydney, Australia, for four years prior to joining the USOC.
As Chief Marketing Officer, Burton directs the USOC’s Sales and Marketing Division, including the development and implementation of corporate sponsorship programs designed to deliver maximum return-on-investment to the USOC’s family of corporate partners. Burton will also work closely with USOC Chief Operating Officer Norman Bellingham in creating the revenue streams necessary to support the USOC’s digital media initiatives. He will also be a member of the USOC’s Chicago 2016 Integration Team.
As commissioner of the National Basketball League, Burton directed an expansion of the league to include 13 teams in three countries (Australia, New Zealand and Singapore). He also led the successful negotiation of a five-year television rights agreement with Fox Sports, through which the NBL doubled its annual revenue from television rights fees, and increased overall league revenue from non-licensee sources by 140 percent.
Prior to his tenure with the National Basketball League, Burton was the executive director of the Warsaw Sports Marketing Center in the Lundquist College of Business at the University of Oregon, which was named by Sports Illustrated as the best sports management school in the country in 2002. While in Oregon, Burton headed up the Burton Marketing Group. He consulted or worked on behalf of global brands and sports properties including the National Football League, National Hockey League, USA Track & Field, Nike, Visa and IMG.
Burton started his career in the Syracuse University Athletic Department before becoming a sports reporter for the Syracuse Post-Standard from 1978-1980. He joined the Miller Brewing Company in 1980, first in public relations and later brand management, advertising and marketing. After 12 years at Miller, Burton was named vice president at Clarion Performance Properties, a sports and entertainment marketing agency in Greenwich, Conn. His clients at Clarion included National Football League Properties (NFLP), Reebok, Sprint, Gillette and Universal Studios.
He and his wife Barbara have three children: Stephanie, Andrew and Meredith.
Jeffrey Hayzlett
Chief Business Development Officer and Vice President
Eastman Kodak Company
Jeffrey Hayzlett serves as the Chief Business Officer and Vice President, Eastman Kodak Company. The position was established in September 2007 and filled by Mr. Hayzlett. In this role, he has responsibility for Corporate and Product Public Relations, Communications and Public Affairs, Brand Management, Corporate Sponsorships, Market Development, Corporate Relationships, Business Development, and Partnerships.
Mr. Hayzlett is currently a member of the board of directors of the Business Marketing Association (BMA), the Electronic Document Systems Foundation (EDSF) and is on the advisory board of the CMO Council. He is chairman of the Sales and Marketing Executives International (SMEI) Foundation for Marketing Education, and is a permanent trustee to the SMEI Academy of Achievement Sales and Marketing Hall of Fame. He is also a two-term past chairman of SMEI. Mr. Hayzlett remains a trustee of Pi Sigma Epsilon National Education Foundation, a sales and marketing fraternity.
Mr. Hayzlett has received numerous top marketing awards and honors, including the global Frost & Sullivan Lifetime Achievement Award for marketing achievement, and he was recently named by B2B Magazine as a Top 10 Business to Business Marketer in the world. In the graphic arts industry he has been honored as the International Business Person of the Year Award by the International Printers’ Network (IPN), received The British Association for Print and Communication (BAPC) Honorary Life Member award, and the National Association of Quick Printing (NAQP) Industry Award of Distinction. Mr. Hayzlett has also been named, Entrepreneur of the Year, by the U.S. Small Business Association.
Steve Moya

Steve Moya serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Humana, with responsibility for the company’s broad-based communications, marketing and branding efforts. Steve has been instrumental in driving consumerism throughout Humana’s communications.
Prior to coming to Humana, Steve was Vice President of Strategic Planning and Communications for Los Angeles-based LatinWorks Marketing, and a principal with Growth Strategies Consulting, a macro-market planning company that uses trend analysis to build business strategy. To both of these positions he brought 20 years of communications and critical-analysis expertise to assist businesses with managing change and leveraging information for growth.
Prior to the formation of LatinWorks Marketing, Steve founded Moya, Selbert Communications Consulting, formerly known as Moya Villanueva & Associates, a public relations firm that provided communication strategy in the areas of corporate and Hispanic communications, marketing and public affairs. Recognized as a business leader in the Hispanic community, Steve built one of the largest and most respected ethnic public relations firms in the United States.
Steve earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban Affairs from the University of Southern California and has completed graduate-level Urban Planning courses at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute.

Thomas Nightingale
Vice President of Communications and Chief Marketing Officer

Tom Nightingale is vice president, communications and chief marketing officer for Con-way Inc. (NYSE:CNW), a $4.7 billion freight transportation and logistics services company headquartered in San Mateo, Calif. Named FORTUNE magazine's "Most Admired Company" in transportation and logistics for 2007, Con-way delivers industry-leading services through its primary operating companies of Con-way Freight, CFI and Con-way Truckload, and Menlo Worldwide Logistics. These operating units provide high-performance, day-definite less-than-truckload (LTL), full truckload and intermodal freight transportation; logistics, warehousing and supply chain management services; and trailer manufacturing. Con-way Inc. and its subsidiaries operate from more than 500 operating locations across North America and in 17 countries across five continents.
In this position, Mr. Nightingale is responsible for the oversight of the global branding of Con-way and its business units. He and his team are responsible for strategic marketing, public relations, advertising, digital media, communications and market research for all of Con-way's
subsidiaries: Con-way Freight, Con-way Truckload and CFI, Menlo Worldwide Logistics, and Road Systems Inc.
Mr. Nightingale joined Con-way in July 2006, bringing 20 years experience in the sales/marketing arena, most recently from Schneider National Inc., where he was vice president of corporate marketing. In this position, he played a significant role in critical initiatives managing the brand on three continents. His business-to-business experience spans senior marketing, sales leadership, pricing, strategy and operations roles. Prior to Schneider, he worked in a variety of commercial and operational roles for several transportation, technology, logistics and supply chain companies, including UPS, CSX and GATX.
Mr. Nightingale served as president for the Transportation Marketing Communications Association in 2007 and was re-appointed as president for 2008. A native of Medfield, Mass., he holds a bachelor's degree in international marketing/management from Siena College and earned his MBA from Syracuse University. Mr. Nightingale heads the Con-way Inc. marketing department located in Con-way Freight's headquarters in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Bev Thorne
Chief Marketing Officer
Century 21 Real Estate, LLC
In her role as Senior Vice President, Marketing for Century 21 Real Estate LLC, Bev Thorne leads the planning and execution of the domestic marketing strategies in support of market share growth for the largest real estate franchise organization in the world. She is responsible for leading the strategy development and program execution of all consumer, broker and agent marketing programs. These efforts include: brand strategy and execution, direct marketing, national advertising, localized marketing and coop advertising, interactive marketing and technology, agent and broker marketing, targeted market promotions and marketing, sales support, public relations, media relations, internal communications and all promotional activities. She oversees the optimization of a National Advertising Fund on behalf of all CENTURY 21® System members to ensure that preference for the brand is increasing in the market, that qualified customer leads are being generated, and that market share growth is achieved.
Thorne earned her MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and has worked extensively in the areas of consumer marketing, strategic branding and event marketing management over her twenty-plus year career. She has a wealth of experience working with organizations modeled like the CENTURY 21 System. Most recently she was with JPMorgan Chase & Company where she served as senior vice president, customer marketing for the Home Finance business unit. Prior to that, Thorne worked at AT&T for nearly two decades in a series of increasingly senior roles, planning and executing marketing and communications strategies nationwide. She was instrumental in key telecommunications initiatives that spanned from the launch of cellular service to AT&T’s return to the local service market. Her experiences at AT&T included product management, sales management and targeted market management. She and her husband are raising three children on a tree farm in Central New Jersey.

Doyle Williams
Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer
COUNTRY Financial
Doyle Williams of Mahomet, Ill., is the executive vice president and chief marketing officer for COUNTRY Financial. In this position, Williams is responsible for developing and executing all aspects of the organization’s marketing strategy. Additionally, he provides direction to all distribution channels and oversight of securities regulated sales personnel.
Williams is a 25-year industry veteran with a broad financial services background. He has held a number of management positions in both the operating and marketing arms of the COUNTRY organization. He is a member of the boards of directors for Cotton States Insurance, Middlesex Mutual, and Holyoke Mutual. He also serves as Chief Executive Officer of Country Capital Management Company, an internal Broker-Dealer.
Williams earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Illinois, Urbana and a bachelor’s degree in business and finance from Illinois State University, Normal.
He supplemented his education by earning the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant professional designations. He is also a registered securities principal holding Series 7, 63, 65, 24, and 26 licenses. Williams is a member of, and served in leadership positions for, numerous industry trade organizations.
