As President and CEO, Wiley D. Angell is responsible for the management of the firm. Mr. Angell chairs FAMCO's Strategy Committee and directs the firm’s macroeconomic research. As one of the founding principals, he has managed portfolios and served FAMCO’s clients since the firm’s inception in 1994. He has managed institutional portfolios for 23 years. Mr. Angell served as Portfolio Manager for General Dynamics from 1991 to 1994 focusing on core, long duration and immunization fixed income strategies. From 1985 to 1991 he was Treasurer of Franklin Savings Association where he managed a $7 billion mortgage portfolio and was responsible for the firm’s hedging strategies and balance sheet risk control. He served on the board and chaired the investment committee for both First State Bank in Pleasanton, KS and Hume Bank in Hume, MO. He holds a B.A. in business and economics from Ottawa University.

Juan Carlos Artigas is an Investment Research Manager for the World Gold Council in New York. He has over 4 years of experience in financial markets, having worked for JPMorgan Securities as a US and Emerging Markets strategist, where he led the Latin American sovereign debt and Mexico local market strategy effort. He holds a BSc in Actuarial Sciences from ITAM (Mexico), and an MBA and MSc in Statistics from the University of Chicago. SARR is an investment holding company for Les’ personal investments, principally automotive dealership assets, including real estate and investments in the print media arena, including The Philadelphia Inquirer and The Philadelphia Daily News.
Les is Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of Automatic Data Processing, Inc. Les also serves on the board of directors of Merck & Co., Inc. Prior to SARR, Les founded and was Chairman Emeritus of Hamilton Lane, focusing on the firm's strategic initiatives and direction, as well as its investment decision-making through his participation on the firm's Investment Committee. Hamilton Lane is the world’s leading Private Equity advisory and management firm with over 40 Billion US in assets under advisement and management. In 2003, a controlling interest in the firm was purchased by Cascade, LLC, the personal investment company of Bill Gates and a group of former Morgan Stanley executives. Les was also a member of the board of directors of the Richcourt Group, a Hamilton Lane company specializing in hedge fund of funds management.
Les has nearly 30 years of investment banking, commercial banking and financial advisory experience. Prior to founding Hamilton Lane, he was a Managing Director and cofounder of the investment banking group of Fidelity Bank in Philadelphia, Vice President in the Corporate Finance Division of E.F. Hutton & Co. in New York, and Vice President of Lloyds International Corporation. Les began his career with Chemical Bank in Seoul, South Korea, where he was Assistant Vice President and Chief Credit Officer. He is fluent in both French and Korean.
Les received a B.S. from the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he has been recognized as a Distinguished Alumnus, and he is a Trustee of the University at Buffalo Foundation, Inc. Les is also a Trustee of The Episcopal Academy in Merion, PA. In addition, Les is a Member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and was Chairman of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s S.B.I.C. Advisory Council, and a member of the Committee for the Reinvention of the S.B.A.
Timothy P. Cahill

Tim Cahill is proud to be serving his second term as Treasurer and Receiver General for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Treasurer Cahill manages the state’s finances by taking a fiscally conservative approach to investing and maximizing the use of taxpayer money.
Some of his achievements as Treasurer include:
Reforming the Massachusetts School Building Authority; creating a Job Growth Initiative which has already created 7,500 new jobs; returning close to $5 billion in Lottery local aid to cities and towns; overseeing the growth of the state pension fund; reuniting $1.1 billion in Abandoned Property with its rightful owners; and when Massachusetts residents were looking for a safe way to invest their money in a tumultuous market, Treasurer Cahill created the opportunity to purchase Massachusetts General Obligation Bonds directly from the Treasury’s website.
Tim is a 1981 graduate of Boston University, with a B.A. in Political Science. He was elected in 1987 as Quincy City Councilor and in 1996 as Norfolk County Treasurer. In 2007 Treasurer Cahill was named an Eisenhower Fellow, traveling to both India and Ireland. He and his wife Tina live in Quincy with their four daughters.
Susan Carson

Ms. Carson is the Director of Pension Management at Con Edison in New York City. She joined Con Ed in 2006 with responsibility for $6.5 billion of pension assets and $2 billion of defined contribution assets. Prior to joining Con Edison, Susan held similar roles at Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG) in Newark, New Jersey and Telcordia (formerly Bellcore) in Morristown, New Jersey. While at PSEG, Ms. Carson had assignments in Corporate Accounting and Investor Relations.
Susan has a BS in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University, a MS in Management from New Jersey Institute of Technology and is a graduate of the Program for Management Development at Harvard Business School. Ms. Carson is also a CPA licensed in New Jersey.
Elaine Chan

Elaine Chan initially joined the Private Investments group in August 2007. In this role, she helps to manage a portfolio with investments across various asset classes in private equity, venture capital, growth equity, distressed investing, opportunistic credit and real assets. Although she still assists in overseeing the Private Investments portfolio, her main responsibilities now include assisting in portfolio management and asset allocation for the Foundation. Previously, Elaine worked in the Strategy and Planning Group at Citigroup’s Markets and Banking division.
Elaine received a B.S. in economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.

Anthony Grillo, 53, Managing Director, joined the Firm in 2005 as Founder and CEO of American Securities Advisors, LLC. Mr. Grillo was previously with Evercore Partners, where he was Senior Managing Director and Founder of the Restructuring Group from 2001 through 2004. From 1999 through 2001, he was a Senior Managing Director of Joseph Littlejohn & Levy Inc., a private equity investment firm specializing in investments in troubled companies. From 1991 through 1998, Mr. Grillo was a Senior Managing Director of The Blackstone Group, L.P where he was a member of the Investment Committee and Private Equity Group, Co-Founder of the Restructuring Group, and COO of the firm’s Mergers and Acquisition Practice. From 1989 to 1991, Mr. Grillo was a Managing Director at Chemical Bank, responsible for their Restructuring and Reorganization Group. Mr. Grillo was previously with American Securities in 1988 and 1989 as Senior Vice President responsible for distressed investments. From 1983 to 1988, he assisted the AMA Management Corporation providing workout and investment advisory services. Prior to 1983, Mr. Grillo was a Vice President at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company and was also employed by the accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand, where he became a Certified Public Accountant. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors and Head of the Audit Committee of Littelfuse, a publicly-traded electronic circuit manufacturer he previously restructured. Mr. Grillo holds a B.A. degree in economics from Rutgers College as a Henry Rutgers Scholar and an M.B.A. in finance from The Wharton School.

Jasmina Hasanhodzic is a research scientist at AlphaSimplex Group, LLC, where she develops quantitative investment strategies and benchmarks. She received her Ph.D. from MIT’s Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Her works on alternative market betas and technical analysis have appeared in leading publications such as the Journal of Investment Management, and she is the co-author with Andrew Lo of the books “The Heretics of Finance” (Bloomberg Press, January 2009) and “The Evolution of Technical Analysis” (Bloomberg Press, forthcoming). Jasmina serves on the board of directors of the Market Technicians Association Educational Foundation.
Jeffrey Heil

Jeffrey Heil is the Chief Investment Officer for the Doris Duke Foundation.
Prior to joining the Foundation in 2003, he was Co-Head of Investments at the University of California, where he actively managed equity holdings in three portfolios with $30 billion in total assets, as well as overseeing an additional $15 billion in externally managed funds. Prior to joining the University of California, Mr. Heil was a Vice President of Equity Management for Victory Capital in Cleveland, Ohio and a Corporate Finance Consultant at McKinsey & Company. In New York he was Manager of the Valuations Group at Arthur Andersen & Co. and started his career as a Securities Analyst at Arnold Bernhard and Company. Mr. Heil holds the CFA charter and earned a BA, summa cum laude, from Ohio University and was selected to Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. At New York University Graduate School of Business, he was awarded the Marcus Nadler Fellowship and received an MBA in Finance.
Joanne Hill

Ms. Hill joined ProFund Advisors LLC in 2009 and her responsibilities include research, development and dissemination of investment strategies utilizing the firm’s ProShares exchange traded funds (ETFs) and ProFunds mutual funds. Prior to joining ProFunds Group, Ms. Hill was with Goldman Sachs for 17 years. Her experience there included leading global equity derivatives research, focusing on institutional applications of ETFs, futures, options, swaps, and index portfolio trading. She most recently served as a managing director in Goldman’s Pensions, Endowments, and Foundations Group.
Ms. Hill has published extensively on quantitative investment topics and derivatives, with recent articles in the Financial Analysts Journal, Journal of Portfolio Management, and Journal of Trading. She serves on the board and heads the research committee for the "Q" Group and is on the editorial board of the Financial Analysts Journal and Journal of Indexing. She has also served as a member of the Standard & Poor's, Russell, and Financial Times Index Committees.
Prior to coming to Wall Street, she was on the finance faculty of the University of Massachusetts (Amherst) and was a research analyst at the Federal Reserve Board. She received a Ph.D. in finance from Syracuse University, an M.A. in international affairs from George Washington University, and an undergraduate degree in International Service from American University.
Peter Johnston

Peter Johnston is a Managing Director based in Macquarie Funds Group’s Melbourne Office. Mr. Johnston leads the Private Equity Fund of Funds investment activities in infrastructure and is a member of the Investment Committee and Senior Partners Committee. Mr. Johnston has 14 years of broad experience in the infrastructure investment industry providing a unique perspective to reviewing investment opportunities. Over his career, Mr. Johnston has had responsibility for:
- infrastructure funds management and undertaking portfolio fund investments, co-investments, direct investments and secondary investments in unlisted infrastructure opportunities
- corporate advisory roles involving raising debt and equity for infrastructure acquisitions as well as preparing infrastructure assets for sale and advising on the sales process;
- distribution and capital raising for infrastructure investment funds both in the unlisted and listed markets; and
- working in senior finance roles within infrastructure businesses.
During this time, Mr. Johnston has been involved in more than 100 infrastructure investments and transactions in 14 countries and covering a broad range of sub-sectors including toll roads, airports, seaports, rail, energy distribution and transmission, power generation, water, waste treatment and social infrastructure.
Mr. Johnston joined Macquarie Funds Group after six years working with Macquarie Capital. Prior to joining Macquarie, Mr. Johnston was the lead Investment Manager for the Infrastructure Funds of Industry Funds Management (then Development Australia Fund) and has also worked for KPMG Corporate Finance and Multinet Gas. Mr. Johnston received a Bachelor of Economics from Monash University in Australia and is a Certified Practising Accountant and a Fellow of Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
Rodney Lake

Rodney Lake is a Senior Investment Analyst in George Washington University’s (GW) Investment Office. Under the direction of the Chief Investment Officer, the office is responsible for managing the University’s $1.0 billion endowment fund. Mr. Lake’s responsibilities include developing investment themes, as well as identifying and recommending implementation strategies including the use of derivatives across all asset classes. Additional responsibilities include monitoring existing managers, performing due diligence for new investment opportunities, monitoring global economic, political, and geopolitical factors as well as tracking capital flows in the public and private markets. Mr. Lake also assists in the instruction of Applied Portfolio Management in GWs MBA program. The focus of this course is a student-managed $1.0 million portfolio within University’s Endowment Fund.
Previously, Mr. Lake was a Senior Financial Analyst in the Executive Vice President and Treasurer’s Office at GW. In this capacity he served as an internal consultant for projects ranging from financial and optimization modeling to developing spin-out strategies and valuations for internal businesses. Prior to joining GW he was a Financial Analyst in the mortgage division of California Federal Bank performing portfolio valuations for acquisitions and divestitures.
Mr. Lake graduated cum laude, from West Virginia Wesleyan College with a B.S. degree in business. He attended graduate school at The George Washington University and received an MBA in finance.

Abel Mojica

Abel Mojica is the Head of Corporate Development of Tortoise Capital Advisors, an asset manager dedicated to investing in energy infrastructure. The Corporate Development group introduces institutional investors (endowments, family offices, pension funds and RIAs) to the MLP asset class via one of Tortoise’s vehicles ranging from separate accounts and private partnerships to publicly traded closed end funds. Prior to his current role, Mr. Mojica was a co-founder of Tortoise Capital Resources Corp (NYSE: TTO), the company’s publicly traded private equity fund.
He brings more than 13 years of experience, most recently as a private equity investor with Kansas City Equity Partners (KCEP). His investment experience included early investments in Inergy Partners, LP (NRGY) and MarkWest Energy Partners, LP (MWE). Prior to KECP, Mr. Mojica was a high yield investment banker with First Chicago Capital Markets and a commercial banker with Citigroup. His professional experience also includes serving as an adjunct faculty member at the Bloch School of Business at the University of Missouri where he taught the MBA level Venture Capital Finance course for six years. He graduated from the University of Chicago and earned a Master of Business Administration from UNC-Chapel Hill.
Mark O'Hare

Mark O’Hare studied Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics at Cambridge University, where he graduated with First Class Honours and was awarded the Stokes Prize in Mathematics. He represented his college 1st VIII in rowing. Subsequent to this he studied Finance at London Business School.
Mark’s initial career was as a Manager with Boston Consulting Group, where he advised clients in Europe, the US and Africa, following which he founded Goodall Alexander O’Hare & Co, an independent strategy consulting firm.
In 1993 he founded Citywatch, the UK’s shareholder information service, which was acquired by Reuters in 1998, and now provides a global service on the ownership of listed equities. In 2002 he founded Preqin, the alternative assets information service which provides extensive research, data and consultancy services on private equity, private real estate, infrastructure and hedge funds. Preqin is an independent business with 50 staff serving over 2,500 customers in 72 countries. Preqin tracks fund returns, fund raising information, fund terms and conditions, the GPs running the funds, and the LPs investing in them, and provides this information to its customers through a range of hard copy publications, online databases, and bespoke research projects.
Mark is married with four grown children, and is a marathon runner in his spare time.

Joseph P. Paoloni has been the Director of Pensions, Trusts, and Investments at Ciba Corporation where he managed the $370 million DB plan and $400 million DC plan where he has worked for 20 years. He has an MBA in finance from Fordham University; a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University; and, a BS in Chemistry and Physics from the State University of New York. He successfully shorted both the 1987 and 1989 crashes and was fully in cash in 2000 and 2007. Prior to Ciba, Joe worked for W.R. Grace and Company working in mergers and acquisitions. He is currently at Level II of his CFA designation and is on the town board of his home town in Dutchess County.
Pankaj Patel

Pankaj Patel is a Managing Director of Credit Suisse in the Investment Banking division and heads the Credit Suisse Quantitative Equities Group.
Mr. Patel joined Credit Suisse First Boston in 2000 when the Bank merged with Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette. Throughout his career, Mr. Patel has focused on developing multi-factor risk/return models and equity portfolio analytics. Prior to joining the Bank, Mr. Patel was a Quantitative Analyst and Portfolio Manager at Weiss, Peck and Greer (WPG), where he was a senior member of a five person disciplined equity team, managing $1.5 billion using quantitative models. Prior to WPG, he worked at General Electric Company for over seven years in various capacities including senior risk management positions at GE Capital.
Mr. Patel holds a Masters in Business Administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Gujarat University, India.

Mr. Perkins is also President of Somerset Corporate Advisors, a financial advisory firm. He is on the board of directors of Velocity Express, Westport Connecticut and serves as a member of the Audit Committee. He also serves as a member of the Advisory Board of Glasshouse Technologies, Framingham, Massachusetts, Aircuity Inc., Newton, Massachusetts, and Tuckerbrook Alternative Investments, Boston, Massachusetts. Mr. Perkins is a graduate of Boston College and resides in Boston.

Jeff Pippin

Jeff served for 6 years as Vice President for Finance and Administration before being appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer in 2006. In this position he is responsible for management of University investment assets, including endowment, general reserves, treasury, trust and annuities, and real estate. He also serves as President of the University’s three affiliated management and holding entities; Wave Enterprises, Wave Properties, and Wave Services.
The Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer serves as a member of the President’s cabinet, the University Planning Committee, and as liaison to the Board of Regents’ Investment Committee.
Jeff earned a bachelor's degree from Abilene Christian University (magna cum laude) and an MBA from Pepperdine. A CPA, Pippin began his career with Arthur Andersen & Co. and came to the University in 1981. He also currently serves on the board of Commonfund, a non-profit registered investment advisor, and leading provider of investment management services to the endowment community, with assets totaling over $35 billion.
In addition, Jeff has served on the California State Treasurer’s Investment Advisory Committee, the Investment Committee of the West Coast Athletic Conference, and the Board of Alliance for the Arts.
Caleb Sevian

Caleb Sevian is a Senior Portfolio Manager for the University of Colorado Foundation where his responsibilities include manager selection, due diligence, asset allocation, and the development and maintenance of their risk management program. His capacity at the University of Colorado Foundation is that of a generalist, where he works in detail across a variety of asset classes including Global Public Equities, Fixed Income, Absolute Return, Private Equity, Venture Capital and Real Assets.
Prior to joining the Foundation in 2008, Caleb was Senior Portfolio Manager and President of Tenet Capital. While at Tenet Capital, Caleb was responsible for developing the proprietary quantitative factor models utilized to manage the firm’s equity portfolios. The models Caleb developed were designed to uncover the intrinsic value of a company along with the company's ability to increase value through earnings growth. In addition to the quantitative equity models Caleb developed, he also created a quantitatively and qualitatively driven asset allocation model used to optimize asset classes based on Post Modern Portfolio Theory combined with a proprietary econometric model and served as a consultant to develop proprietary multi-asset portfolios for institutional clients.
Caleb also spent eight years at Victoire Finance et Gestion, a European multi-strategy hedge fund, where he served as the Senior Portfolio Manager and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to become a Senior Portfolio Manager Caleb acted as a Proprietary Trader for the long/short equity trading desk at the Fund. Caleb earned his B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Leroy Wall

Leroy has been working in the financial services industry for the past 16 years, with 12 years specializing in alternative investments.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan Leroy was Head of Finance & Operations for the private equity and infrastructure programs at the CPP Investment Board, in Toronto, Canada, where he oversaw commitments to alternative investments of $26 billion.
Prior to that, Leroy founded and ran a successful private equity operations consulting practice, with a large number of international clients. His private equity operations experience also includes spending 6 years offshore as Executive Director for Vontobel Private Equity, a Swiss private equity fund manager in the Cayman Islands.
Leroy holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science and a Bachelor of Business in Finance and Accounting from St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, Canada. Leroy is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder and a Chartered Accountant. He is also a Microsoft Certified Service Engineer.
David Wiederecht

Dave is President and CIO – Investment Strategies for GE Asset Management. He is responsible for the firm’s strategic and tactical asset allocation efforts related both to client relationships and the GE benefit plans. Dave also has oversight of GEAM’s hedge fund portfolio and external asset managers. Dave is a Trustee of the GE Pension Trust and the company’s other employee benefit plan trusts. In addition, he is a member of GE Global Pension Advisory Committee, with oversight for various affiliate pension plans, including the US and Canada. In his prior role as Managing Director – Alternative Investments, he had portfolio management responsibilities for various private equity and real estate investment strategies, in addition to hedge fund oversight. Prior to joining GEAM in 1988, Dave held several positions throughout the General Electric Company. He holds a BA in Economics from St. Lawrence University.
