Corporate policyholders rely on Lynda to aggressively litigate, negotiate, and resolve complicated disputes with insurers. To date, she has secured hundreds of millions of dollars in insurance recoveries for her clients.
Lynda has more than 20 years of commercial litigation experience and has obtained significant recoveries for clients in environmental, asbestos, construction defect, mass tort, product liability, D&O, and professional liability cases. She also counsels clients with respect to contractual insurance requirements, new insurance products (such as cyber insurance), innovative risk management tools, and insurance program assessment. Working with the firm’s transactional lawyers, Lynda regularly advises strategic acquirers and private equity funds regarding insurance coverage issues that arise in acquisition and investment transactions. Lynda has chaired the Insurance Recovery group since 2011 and is a member of the firm’s Executive Board and Compensation Committee. She previously served on the firm’s Operating Committee and Recruiting Committee, and is currently actively engaged in growing the firm’s Washington, DC, office through the expansion of the Insurance Recovery group in Washington.
Lynda is strongly committed to advancing the role of women in the legal profession. Sue D’Emic, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Time Inc., is responsible for leading the company’s financial functions and strategies, including all accounting, budgeting, reporting and tax activities, IT and production operations.
D’Emic joined Time Inc. as Senior Vice President, Controller in October 2013 and was an integral part of the teamthat led the successful spin-off from Time Warner. In this role, she was responsible for all accounting matters,including SEC reporting and compliance with Sarbanes Oxley, and she oversaw all financial reporting, procurementand treasury operations.
Previously, D’Emic was Senior Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer of Frontier Communications,the largest provider of phone, internet and video services to rural towns and cities across the country, from April2011 until October 2013. At Frontier, she was responsible for all aspects of accounting, financial planning andanalysis, SEC and regulatory reporting, tax and revenue assurance.
D’Emic spent 13 years at Reader’s Digest serving in a variety of accounting and finance positions, including SeniorVice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer. In addition, she has held financial positions at Kraft FoodsInternational and the Colgate Palmolive Company. D’Emic began her career at KPMG, where she worked with highprofileclients such as CPC,nowpartof Unilever,Revlonand Squibb Pharmaceuticals.
D’Emic earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the State University of New York at Binghamton and is aCertified Public Accountant. She is a member of the Financial Women’s Association, AICPA and the New York State Society of CPAs. D’Emic also serves on the Board of Directors of the Childcare Council of Westchester. She lives in Ossining, New York, with her husband and two children.

Kelley Hicks is the CFO of Crane Stationery, which she joined in 2012. In 2016, Kelley led the spin off of Crane Stationery into a management owned company. Crane Stationery has over 200 years of operation as the recognized market leader in the high end stationery industry. Kelley leads strategic planning, business development, accounting, FP&A, and human resources. Prior to joining Crane, she spent six years at PepsiCo in various roles within the finance function. In his current position, he is responsible for cash operations, capital markets, risk management, corporate finance and overall financial strategy. Prior to Herc, Mr. Hussain spent several years in finance leadership roles at Hyundai Capital America and National Grid. He started his career in New York, spending several years as a trusted management consultant, investment banker and deal advisor.
He has won industry awards from Association of Financial Professionals, Adam Smith and Treasury Management International on excellence in treasury and finance. Mustally is a well-known thought leader at industry conferences and serves on the CFO Advisory Council of Innovation Enterprise. He holds an M.B.A. from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
