Mr. Alexandros Aldous is the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of The Chefs' Warehouse, Inc., a NASDAQ listed international food distribution and logistics company, with operations across North America. Prior to joining The Chefs' Warehouse in 2011, Mr. Aldous held positions including those with Barclays Capital, LLC, in London, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and capital markets; and with Shearman & Sterling LLP, in New York, where he specialized primarily in mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Aldous received his Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Classics and Government from Colby College; a Juris Doctor and M.A. in International Relations from American University; and an LL.M. from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Mr. Aldous is a member of the Government Relations Leadership Committee of the International Foodservice Distributors Association, a member of the Global Alumni Advisory Board of the American College of Greece, as well as a member of the Dean’s Counsel of American University’s School of International Service. Ricardo A. Anzaldua is executive vice president and general counsel of MetLife, Inc. He was appointed to this position in December 2012. Anzaldua leads the company’s global legal operations, and oversees MetLife's corporate secretary's office and corporate ethics and compliance group. He designed and led the execution of the Company’s one-of-a-kind successful legal challenge of its too-big-to-fail designation under the Dodd-Frank Act.
Anzaldua joined MetLife from The Hartford Financial Services Group, where he was senior vice president and associate general counsel. There, he led legal support for the two largest operating divisions (commercial and consumer markets) after a three-year tenure leading the legal teams supporting the corporate secretarial, securities, corporate governance, tax, mergers & acquisitions, technology, bankruptcy and real estate functions. Prior to joining The Hartford, Anzaldua was a partner with Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton LLP in New York. He began his legal career with the firm upon graduation from Harvard Law School in 1990.
Before law school, Anzaldua was the publications director and senior editor of the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies, a University of California think tank focusing on research relating to Mexico and U.S.-Mexican relations, as well as Latin America more generally.
Anzaldua currently serves on the boards of directors for the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA), LatinoJustice/PRLDEF, Breaking Ground (a New York City supportive housing developer and manager), the Greater Hartford Legal Aid Foundation (of which he is president), and the International Institute of Rural Reconstruction, an international nonprofit focused on economic and community development and empowerment in the developing world (where he also serves as pro-bono General Counsel).

Darren A. Bowie is Chief Privacy Officer and Associate General Counsel at American International Group, Inc. (AIG). Darren leads AIG’s global privacy and records and information management compliance program, and advises AIG and its businesses on privacy, cybersecurity, and information governance legal and compliance matters. Darren also manages the AIG policy governance group responsible for the development and implementation of corporate policies and standards.
Before joining AIG, Darren served as Legal Director for North America at Nokia, where he managed the legal group that supported Nokia's business in the United States and Canada. Prior to Nokia, Darren was Assistant General Counsel at AOL. Darren began his career at the US Federal Trade Commission, where he served in a number of positions, including as legal advisor to Chairman Timothy J. Muris. Darren is a recipient of the FTC Distinguished Service Award and the FTC Louis D. Brandeis Outstanding Litigator Award.
Darren graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he was an editor of the Journal of International Business Law. He graduated with high honors from the College of William and Mary, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Darren is a member of the New York City Bar Association Consumer Affairs Committee. He is a contributor to Consumer Protection Law Developments (American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Antitrust Law 2009, 2016), and an editor of FTC Practice and Procedure Manual (ABA Section of Antitrust Law 2007). Michael A. Brizel joined Fresh Direct, the nation’s leading e-commerce only grocer, as its Executive Vice President and General Counsel in June 2014. Prior to joining Fresh Direct, he spent most of his career in three iconic companies, Saks Incorporated, The Reader’s Digest Association, Inc. and General Foods Corporation. From 2007 until late 2013, Mr. Brizel was Executive Vice President & General Counsel of Saks; he was appointed to the position of Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer of Saks in 2009, and at the same time, Mr. Brizel was charged with responsibility for the company’s Asset Protection department. Prior to joining Saks, he was Senior Vice President & General Counsel of Reader’s Digest. He was promoted to that position in 1998, having joined Reader’s Digest in 1989. Between 1989 and his promotion in 1998, he held various positions of increasing responsibility, including legal oversight of the company’s marketing, operations, intellectual property and international matters. During the latter part of his tenure at Reader’s Digest, the Human Resources department also reported to him. As General Counsel of both of these $3+ billion publicly held companies, Mr. Brizel had extensive involvement with their boards of directors and board committees. Mr. Brizel left Saks following its sale to Hudson’s Bay Company, and departed Reader’s Digest following its sale to Ripplewood Holdings.
Mr. Brizel was in-house counsel at General Foods Corporation from 1983-1989, first as an employment and labor attorney, and then as a generalist for Entenmann’s, Inc., a subsidiary of General Foods. He also worked on several acquisitions and divestitures during this period. Prior to joining General Foods, he worked at the law firm of Summit, Rovins & Feldesman and its predecessors, from 1980 to 1983.
Michael Brizel is a graduate of Cornell Law School (J.D. 1980), Cornell University, School of Industrial & Labor Relations (B.S. 1977). He is a graduate of Fallsburg Central High School (1974). Mr. Brizel resides in New York City with his wife, Dr. Judith Schwartz, a gynecologist and gynecological surgeon, who is affiliated with Mt. Sinai Hospital. He has two daughters, Alexandra and Ilana.

As Legal Officer, State of New Jersey, Office of Information Technology (“OIT”), Ron provides legal advice and counsel to the State’s Chief Technology Officer and to the OIT Senior Management team, including the Statewide Information Security Officer. OIT oversees the mainframes, servers, networks, and databases that make up the State’s technical infrastructure, in effect, the State’s “IT nervous system, a complex, multi-billion-dollar enterprise that could not function without a reliable core of computing capability and technological expertise”.
Ron was a member of the interdisciplinary team that developed OIT’s BYOD policies and procedures. He also chaired the inter-departmental working group that produced the legal, information technology, records retention, training and education program, practices, policies and procedures for compliance with e-discovery. He also structured and negotiated the first Comprehensive Research And Development Agreement (CRADA), recognized as a national model in IT collaborations, between OIT and U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command Research, Development, and Engineering Center (CERDEC). The CRADA defined the operations and architecture needed to deploy an intrusion detection and response program for the state’s 16 executive branch departments, identified and reduced network vulnerabilities by 25%. CERDEC is part of the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command that develops and secures the U.S. Army’s battlefield and strategic networks while performing the required systems engineering to ensure seamlessly integrated systems. He has also served as the Chief Technology Officer’s representative on the Procurement Committee, and the Intellectual Property sub-committees of the National Association of State Chief Information Officers (“NASCIO”), and was a major contributor to four NASCIO briefing papers: IT Procurement and Enterprise Architecture: Recognizing the Mutual Benefits; Getting What You Need On The Way To The Win-Win: Leveraging the RFP In State Technology Procurements; Negotiating IP On The Way To The Win-Win: NASCIO’s Intellectual Property Recommendations; Walking The Road To Win-Win: NASCIO Procurement Subcommittee Recommendations on Liability Limitations for State IT Contracting.

Yen D. Chu is Senior Vice President, Associate General Counsel at Ralph Lauren Corporation. She oversees public company, ethics, and global regulatory compliance, including advising the Board and senior management on corporate governance matters and developing, implementing, and monitoring Ralph Lauren Corporation’s anti-bribery and regulatory compliance program. In addition, she has global legal responsibility in the areas of international trade and customs, consumer product safety, manufacturing and sourcing, supply chain, philanthropy, corporate social responsibility, and brand protection/reputation matters. She also oversees global licensing and distribution transactions as well as corporate financings, commercial transactions, and other special corporate projects.
Prior to joining Ralph Lauren Corporation, Yen spent nine years at the law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. She received her J.D. from Columbia Law School where she was the national Harry A. Blackmun Scholar, and her undergraduate degree, B.A. in International Relations, summa cum laude, from the University of Minnesota. Susan Gruesser serves as the Product Line Director of the Legal Markets group of Wolters Kluwer NV. In her role, Ms. Gruesser oversees the development and launch of products such as Effacts, a cloud-based legal management solution that helps corporate counsel organize their legal information in one secure relational database, and Standard Fed Plus, a new workflow tool that provides point-in-time analysis of tax laws, regulations, guidance, and commentary back to 1986. Ms. Gruesser is responsible for developing new products and offering in the corporate counsel market as well as the specific practice areas of intellectual property, tax, litigation and antitrust. Ms. Gruesser holds a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law.

Matt joined the ATS team as the National Practice Leader for Reps & Warranties Insurance. He previously worked as a broker in Aon’s Private Equity and Transaction Solutions Group (APETS), which served as a national resource in the private equity space for the broader Financial Services Group. APETS provides services both with respect to management liability and transactional liability products, including General Partner Liability, Representations and Warranty, Tax Liability, Contingent Liability, and Litigation Buyout insurance. Matt began his insurance brokerage career at Aon in 2010. Prior to joining Aon, Matt managed and worked as an underwriter in the Mergers & Acquisitions Insurance Group at AIG. Hih Song Kim is the Senior Vice President, General Counsel for Stoli Group USA. She is a member of the executive leadership team and provides legal advice and support in the areas of commercial operations and transactions, litigation, marketing, sales, regulatory and legal compliance, and human resources for North America. Hih Song’s responsibilities include active management of acquisitions, joint ventures and portfolio expansion; trademark and brand activities; new product development and innovation; advertising and integrated marketing; complex contractual and commercial transactions; and strategic development and alignment with global stakeholders.
Hih Song began her in-house career at Unilever United States, Inc., where she served as Assistant General Counsel – Marketing/Regulatory & Litigation. She joined Colgate-Palmolive Company as Global Oral Care Counsel and became Chief Litigation Counsel before assuming her current role at Stoli Group. Before Unilever, Hih Song was a litigation associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison and a litigation/corporate associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett.
She has extensive litigation management expertise and experience in marketing/advertising law, food safety/regulatory, governmental and internal investigations, antitrust/competition law, FCPA/anti-bribery, and crisis and issues management.
Hih Song serves on the Board of Directors of The Door (not-for-profit providing comprehensive youth development services) and is a former member of the Board of Trustees for the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics and a former Board member of Legal Information for Families Today (LIFT) and Urban Bush Women (modern dance company).

Mike McQueeney joined Pearson in September 2014 as Senior Vice President, Deputy General Counsel, Litigation and Regulatory Affairs in New York. He is responsible for litigation globally, as well as the legal groups that support various company functions including compliance, technology, and corporate affairs. Prior to that, Mike was Associate General Counsel, Litigation and Employment for The Coca-Cola Company. While at Coca-Cola, his other roles included Deputy General Counsel for the Americas; and General Counsel, Coca-Cola North America. Prior to joining The Coca-Cola Company, Mike was General Counsel for Texaco Inc., having started with Texaco in 1983, and holding various positions of increasing responsibility over his 18 year career. While there, he handled many sensitive litigation, employment, marketing and environmental matters, as well as the completion of Texaco’s merger with Chevron Corporation in 2001.
Mike has been active with the Atlanta Legal Aid Society, was Vice Chairman of the Atlanta Legal Aid Campaign, and has been active with the Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network. Mike has been a frequent presenter before various professional legal organizations on such as topics as law department management, trade secrets, and litigation practice.

In 2002, Catherine Muldoon joined BDP International, Inc. (“BDP”), a global logistics company with offices in over 114 countries, as General Counsel, US. In January of 2004, Catherine was named Chief Legal Officer. In this role, Catherine is head of BDP’s global legal department with direct responsibility for all legal and contractual considerations associated with all mergers and acquisitions, joint venture and business partner arrangements, tax planning, corporate structuring and strategy, business services, personnel, intellectual property, banking relations, and real estate. She is also responsible for managing litigation. Catherine manages corporate governance and risk management programs within BDP, ensuring that best practices are identified to the Board of Directors and implemented by the business units.
In her tenure, which has been marked with an aggressive growth and integration strategy, Catherine represented BDP in 26 acquisitions most of which were cross border. Catherine authored and manages BDP’s Code of Conduct, including the anti-trust, anti-bribery, and various other legal and ethical compliance policies within BDP. Catherine is responsible for creating product offerings to BDP clients associated with the UN Working Group, foreign tax credit and REACH. She also sits on the Board of Directors of G2Link. Catherine is a professor at the Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law. Catherine was also recently recognized by the Association of Corporate Counsel as “Best Chief Legal Officer.”
Catherine earned a Bachelor of Arts from The Johns Hopkins University and a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law. She was named one of five finalist for ACC’s Outstanding Chief Legal Officer award in 2010. Laura B. Mutterperl is Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Dream Hotel Group. Home to Dream Hotels, Time Hotels, The Chatwal and Unscripted Hotels brands, Dream Hotel Group encompasses three business lines: proprietary brands, hotel management and dining & nightlife. Before Dream Hotel Group, Laura had nearly ten years of experience with Starwood Hotels and Resorts, where she was Vice President and Associate General Counsel. Mr. Joseph Polizzotto, also known as Joe, has been Senior Vice President of Strategy and Client Services at QuisLex, Inc. since September 2016. Prior to joining QuisLex, Mr. Polizzotto served as General Counsel of Americas at Deutsche Bank and previously, General Counsel of Lehman Brothers. He began his legal career as a Litigation Associate at Cadwalader Wickersham. Mr. Polizzotto has appeared before the United States Supreme Court, testified on behalf of the financial services industry before the Senate Banking Committee, and is a frequent speaker at conferences relating to issues affecting in-house legal departments. Mr. Polizzotto's many professional distinctions include the Alfred J. Rauschman Award in 2015 from the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) for contributions to the Compliance and Legal Community and a distinguished career in the Financial Services Industry. He was also a recipient of the Visionary of Justice Award in 2012 from the New York Legal Assistance Group. Ms. Ramos is the General Counsel, North America, at MasterCard. In this role, she is responsible for all legal, regulatory, government and franchise affairs in MasterCard’s North American markets. Prior to that, she was Senior Vice President, Global Public Policy and Regulatory Strategy Counsel. In that role, she led MasterCard’s advocacy on public policy and regulatory matters with governments and other relevant stakeholders across Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America, managing a global team across these markets. She also worked extensively on trade policy matters with the U.S. and other governments, focusing on WTO matters, the Trans-Pacific Partnership and other regional trade agreements. Ms. Ramos began her tenure at MasterCard as Region Counsel in the Latin America and Caribbean Region. Before joining MasterCard, she worked as in-house counsel in other sectors and was based in Miami and Buenos Aires. Ms. Ramos began her legal career as an associate at the law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, working in the New York and London offices on international capital markets and syndicated finance matters.
Ms. Ramos holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she served as an Executive Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. She received her Bachelor of Arts degrees cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, in International Relations and in French. She also carried out part of her undergraduate studies at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris, France.
Ms. Ramos has lived and worked in both the developed and developing world. She has travelled extensively in furtherance of her professional responsibilities and personal interests. She speaks Spanish, French and some Portuguese. She is based in MasterCard’s global headquarters in Purchase, New York.
Ms. Ramos is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and serves on the board of directors of The United States Council for International Business, The World Affairs Forum (Fairfield/Westchester Chapter) and on the National and Louisiana Boards of Appleseed, an organization dedicated to advancing social justice through pro bono legal work by effecting change at the policy level.

Andrew represents policyholders in disputes against insurance companies in connection with a wide variety of insurance policies, including directors and officers (D&O), commercial liability, property, errors and omissions, crime, and fidelity policies. His clients–including Fortune 100 corporations and governmental entities–rely on his “deep subject matter expertise” (Chambers) in insurance-related disputes throughout the country.
Andrew’s practice includes a broad spectrum of legal services, from counseling companies on how to maximize an insurance recovery to representing policyholders in mediation, arbitration, litigation, and trial in state and federal courts. In the course of 30 years representing policyholders, he has successfully tried insurance cases and argued complex insurance issues before numerous courts, including the highest courts of Massachusetts, Iowa, and Delaware.
Andrew has authored and co-authored hundreds of articles and frequently lectures on coverage issues. He has been a regular speaker at programs sponsored by, among others, Forbes, Mealey’s, The Risk and Insurance Management Society, and the American Bar Association. He has also appeared on Court TV regarding D&O insurance.
Andrew is recognized as a leading lawyer nationally by Chambers USA. According to the 2016 edition of the guide, sources say, “He probably has some of the best practical common-sense judgment that I’ve ever seen in a lawyer. Kevin Rothman is the Chief Technology Counsel of American Express and the head of its Technology & Digital Law Group. He leads a group of lawyers and paralegals who have responsibility for legal support to the company’s technology, web and mobile app, cybersecurity and shared services groups. His team is responsible for counseling the company on technology, cybersecurity, Internet, digital, social media, procurement, outsourcing and real estate matters. Mr. Rothman is a recipient of the AET Excellence Award, American Express Technology’s highest recognition for performance, and the American Express Chairman’s Award for Innovation. Prior to joining American Express, Kevin practiced law in the IP Transactions Group at Kirkland & Ellis in New York, and the Technology Transactions Group at Cooley Godward in Silicon Valley. Kevin earned his B.A. at Yale University, and his J.D. at Columbia Law School.

David J. Shapiro is Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of Air Canada. He leads the Legal and Claims Departments, directing and overseeing the corporation’s legal strategies, services, and activities, and is responsible for its compliance.
After practicing at a major Canadian international law firm, advising a variety of institutional and entrepreneurial clients in international trade, finance, corporate, commercial and real estate matters, David joined the airline in 1997, responsible for aircraft finance and leasing transactions. In that role, he was involved in restructuring aircraft related debt and lease obligations of Canadian Airlines International and its subsequent corporate reorganization and amalgamation with Air Canada. As Assistant General Counsel, he played an integral role in a variety of aspects of Air Canada’s restructuring under CCAA in 2003-2004. David was named to the executive team when he was appointed Vice President & General Counsel in 2004.
He served as a Canadian delegate to the Unidroit – ICAO Joint Sessions for the Cape Town Convention recently proclaimed into force in Canada, was invited to serve as a delegate at the diplomatic conferences in South Africa (2001) and appeared before Canadian Parliamentary committees on Bill C-4.
David holds a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University, an LL.M. in international law from Harvard Law School as well as common (J.D.) and civil law (LL.B) degrees from Osgoode Hall Law School and the Université de Montréal, respectively.

Susan Steinthal is an EVP & Deputy General Counsel at Citizens Bank, where she is the head of the Consumer Banking Legal team. Prior to joining Citizens, Susan spent over eleven years at Citigroup in a variety of roles, including General Counsel of the International Retail Banking business, Chief of Staff to the General Counsel, and a member of the institutional litigation group. Susan was previously an associate at the law firms Richards Spears Kibbe & Orbe and Cravath, Swaine & Moore. Scott L. Vernick is a litigation partner at Fox Rothschild LLP and Chair of the firm’s Privacy and Data Security Practice Group. A noted authority on privacy law, he counsels multinational businesses and the middle market on how to mitigate risk and overcome challenges posed by the federal and state enforcement environment.
Vernick has a national practice and has tried cases in state and federal courts across the country and before arbitral forums. He has handled first-of-a-kind engagements that have helped define this still-emerging landscape, including defense of the FTC’s first enforcement action stemming from the use of a peer-to-peer network and federal civil rights cases arising out of data breaches. His diverse range of clients includes Fortune 500 companies Allergan, Inc., CVS Health, First Data Corp., and GlaxoSmithKline.
Consistently recognized as a leader in his field, Vernick was named to The National Law Journal’s 2016 list of Trailblazers in Cybersecurity and since 2007 has been ranked by Chambers USA as a leading litigation attorney in Pennsylvania. Richard Wingate’s career has primarily been as a Corporate Generalist with extensive in-house experience at international Fortune 500 companies. Emphasis on Commercial Contracts, Antitrust, Intellectual Property, Logistics, Product Liability, Advertising, Human Resources, e-Commerce and Distribution.
Mr. Wingate is currently Vice President General Counsel for LG’s North American Operations, headquartered at LG Electronics U.S.A, Inc’s offices in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. “Rick” began building that Legal Department in 2004. Rick led the establishment of the Legal Department policies and procedures for all American operations, including all U.S. Litigation, Antitrust and other corporate Compliance Trainings as well as general Contract Process and Management.
Prior to his appointment at LGE, Rick was Senior Counsel at Sony Electronics Inc. from 1985 to 2004. His responsibilities included Litigation Management, Contracts, Licensing and Antitrust counseling and training for the Business & Professional Products Group and Consumer Sales Division. Prior to that, Rick worked in the reinsurance industry as Counsel at Pan Atlantic Group in White Plains, NY and for Chevron USA in New Orleans, LA & Perth Amboy, NJ.
