With today’s dynamic business environment, the opportunities and expectations for finance to contribute continues to evolve.  Strong business acumen in addition to financial and accounting capabilities is highly sought after by most CEO’s and General Managers in progressive organizations.  This creates both a challenge and a tremendous opportunity for traditional finance professionals.

Finance has historically played a support role for business leadership / general management.  Reporting, historical results analysis, business planning, and investment decision support have occupied much of the time of finance.  At the same time, finance has become the default systems experts (ERP and other) as a result of the need to provide this – often reactive business support.

With the evolving expectations of finance, this provides a considerable opportunity for finance professionals to better exploit their knowledge and expertise to take a greater leadership role in driving decisions and recommendations rather than simply supporting them.  This concept is simple but effectively driving and sustaining this change across a large organization can be very difficult.

In this session, Rob will share the transformation he has been leading within finance at Kimberly-Clark, including a pragmatic approach and roadmap to transform the role of finance and the expectations for impact and highly tangible value creation – both within finance and the internal customers they support.

  • 9:50am – 10:10am Thought Leadership Spotlight featuring Domo: “The CFOs Guide to Driving the Organization to be Data Driven”

The proliferation of data today makes it almost impossible to isolate the data that really matters to the organization; it’s not good enough to simply capture company results and provide it to the management team.  Today’s environment creates the need for each member of the executive team to get the data tailored to their needs so they can optimize the performance of their individual function.

In this digitized world, the system should be capable of helping the organization modify its behavior, in real time, to maximize the business opportunities presented. At the same time, you should have the capability to take action immediately.

Join us to learn how to become a strategic CFO by using technology to orchestrate data distribution in a way that maximizes the performance of your organization, and tools you can use to ensure key objectives are accomplished.
