Robert (Bob) Bates is the Executive Director of Forensic and Digital Architecture at Aetna where enhancing the member journey is a key initiative. Bob works across technology and information programs to provide insights and direction to help Drive Aetna’s strategic goals and enable future capability. Bob has spent nearly a decade leading architecture teams with service providers focused on driving Customer value through collaboration and inspiration. Prior to coming to Aetna, Bob worked with several global delivery organizations focused on bringing global context and learnings directly from the healthcare industry, and also retail, manufacturing, financial services, insurance, and state and local governments. His work has encompassed IT as a whole – infrastructure, security, application development, product development, cloud and business process engineering. His work continually pushes into new areas of technology transformation with business value and practical application.
Bob operates out of the Downers Grove, Illinois, and major locations across the Aetna enterprise. When time permits, Bob is an avid outdoors man where is does his best to participate in and support sustainable environmental programs in Washington state where he lives with his family. By education, Bob is a mechanical engineer; additionally he holds minors in biology and advanced mathematics as well as a certificate in viticulture which he uses to develop a small vineyard and greenhouse for local plants near his home.

Sam Norpel is an accomplished digital commerce executive with a proven track record in the retail industry of developing interactive marketing strategies and driving purchasing behaviors through the use of digital techniques, including emerging platforms.
Sam is VP, Digital Commerce, for David’s Bridal, the specialty retail bridal industry leader in the United States, and a member of the Executive Leadership Team. Sam joined David’s Bridal in January 2016 after most recently serving as the VP of Digital Transformation and Acquisition at Lands’ End.
Sam is responsible for the delivery and implementation of the company’s digital commerce activities that will advance the brand’s presence online, drive the online marketing strategy and focus on customer acquisition and retention, as well as improved usability and performance, to ultimately deliver a superior digital experience for our bride.
During her nearly 20 years of experience in digital commerce, Sam has an extensive portfolio of developing ecommerce interactive strategies, digital marketing and analytics for the retail, financial environmental and higher education industries. During her time at Lands’ End, Sam helped drive year-over-year growth in online demand and new-to-brand and reactivated customers through digital strategies. She also led the modernization of the online channel, including launching responsive design capabilities for both the .com site and email, online fit solutions, and an enhanced, streamlined checkout process.
Prior to her time at Lands’ End, Sam served as the VP and director of marketing for True Action, an eBay Inc. company where she directed the omni-channel interactive marketing strategy for clients, driving 28% in revenue growth.
Throughout her career, she has worked with a number of reputable brands and clients, which have included Calvin Klein Inc, Donald J Pliner, Charlotte Russe, kate spade new york, Kate Spade Saturday, JACK SPADE, Lucky Brand Jeans, Levi Strauss & Co., Monet, kensie, Speedo, Radio Shack, Palm, Advanta, and Chase.
Sam’s unique blend of strategic ingenuity and hands-on technical skills, marketing background and management of multi-channel projects are instrumental in helping Sam transform David’s Bridal digital marketing platform.
Sam is a graduate of the University of Delaware, where she received her B.A. and M.A. She also took MBA coursework at Drexel University, College of Business Administration. She resides in Philadelphia, PA with her family.

Michael Restuccia is the senior vice president and chief information officer (CIO) at Penn Medicine. Restuccia has over twenty-five years of healthcare information technology experience and has worked nearly all his career in the healthcare information technology provider, vendor and consulting services industries.
Through his tenure as SVP and CIO, Penn Medicine has achieved many advances in healthcare technology. Most recently in 2017, Penn Medicine became the first academic health system to fully deploy the integrated Epic Corporation application platform (AKA: PennChart) in the ambulatory, inpatient, and homecare settings. This platform integration has further enabled innovations in patient care, revenue cycle and precision medicine.
In 2016, Restuccia was recognized by Computerworld as a Top 100 Chief Information Officer (CIO). Under his leadership, the Penn Medicine IS team was recognized as a consistent “Most Wired” award winner over the last decade. The team placed 4th in the 2016 Information Week Elite 100 and ranked 9th nationally in 2015. Additionally, Restuccia received a Smart CXO award, as a leading CIO, from Philadelphia Smart CEO Magazine in March 2012 for his leadership in maintaining and building on Penn Medicine’s implementation of technology and innovation to advance patient care.
Prior to joining Penn Medicine as an IS management consultant in 2006, Mr. Restuccia served as President of MedMatica Consulting Associates, a healthcare information technology consulting firm that has been recognized as a four-time recipient of the Inc. Magazine 5,000 Fastest Growing, Privately Held Companies in the US and the Philadelphia region.
While at MedMatica, Restuccia served as the Interim Chief Information Officer for several healthcare organizations, including Phoenixville Hospital, Doylestown Hospital and the University of Pennsylvania Health System. Prior to MedMatica, Restuccia served in leadership roles with several other healthcare information technology firms, including First Consulting Group and Shared Medical Systems (now Cerner Corp.). Restuccia achieved a Bachelor of Science degree from Rider University and earned his MBA from Villanova University.
