James Damron is the Vice President of Human Resources at Flying Food Group, a firm specializing in inflight and retail catering. Previously James has worked at such large firms such as Wal-Mart and Sprint. He graduated Suma Cum Laude with a Master’s Degree in Business with a focus on International Business. He has achieved his Human Resources certifications adding SHRM-SCP and SPHR-CA to his repertoire. His greatest passion with Human Resources is Employee Relations especially with a focus on employee engagement helping companies become the employer of choice of their employees.

Donna Grant Dorsey currently serves as Chief Human Resources Officer for Navistar, Inc. Navistar is a leading manufacturer of commercial trucks, buses, defense vehicles and engines with over 8 billion dollars in revenue employing over 12,000 employees globally. As a senior leader for the company, she is responsible for all aspects of Human Resource strategy. Working with the organizations senior leaders and the Board of Directors, Donna drives results by providing strategic business and human capital leadership to drive change and innovation during the company’s turnaround. Prior to this role she led the strategic HR direction of all business operations while overseeing the team of HR Business Partners. She worked closely with the business leaders to determine the best approaches to leadership and organization development, succession planning, talent development, staffing, total rewards and strategic HR issues. She previously held roles within Navistar with increasing levels of responsibility including the leadership of Navistar’s Integrated Product Development organization.
Prior to joining Navistar, Dorsey was senior manager, human resources at Sears, Roebuck & Company (now Sears Holding) where she was instrumental at leading the development of people strategies for corporate functions and serving as a leader for diversity initiatives across the enterprise.
She has held other positions of increasing responsibility in Human Resources including:
- Human Resources Generalist – American Hospital Association
- Employment Representative – Morgan Stanley Dean Witter
- HR Generalist – Chicago Park District
As a leader in both her community and profession, Donna is a board member for the Human Resources Management Association of Chicago, board member/former President of the Board of Directors for the national non-profit organization HealthConnect One. She has received numerous honors including 2013 Illinois Diversity Council’s Most Powerful and Influential Women Award and 2012 Diversity MBA Magazine Top 50 under 50. She has been a speaker on topics ranging from Building Effective People Strategies and Driving Talent Reviews during a turnaround to The Power of Women of Color. In addition, she is a member of the National Urban League, the American Bar Association and the Illinois Bar Association. She holds a Paralegal certificate and is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Rutgers University and a Juris Doctorate from Chicago Kent College of Law with a certification in labor and employment law. While in law school, she was president of Black Law Students Association.

Lora Freeman (Haak) is Vice President, Human Resources, Americas & Global Manufacturing at Beam Suntory which is the 3rd largest premium spirits company in the world. This includes delicious brands like Maker’s Mark, Jim Beam, Laphroaig, Courvoisier, Hibiki Japanese Whisky and Effen Vodka.
Prior to Beam Suntory, she worked at Kraft Foods, starting in 2001 on the manufacturing side, and spent 14 years with the company in various roles in the HR and OD specialist domain. She moved through various HR Business Partner roles, leading the set-up of the Food Service organizations for both Mondelez and Kraft during the company split. As HR Business Partner lead for the 5 Billion-dollar Beverages business, she managed through the transition to Kraft-Heinz in 2015 when she left the organization to join Beam Suntory.
Prior to joining Kraft, she followed an entrepreneurial path, mainly in the restaurant industry, culminating in owning a bar and restaurant in St. Catharines and teaching hotel and restaurant management, human resources and small business management courses at Niagara College, Ontario.
Lora lives a busy and fulfilled life in Highland Park Illinois, with her husband Chris, teenage daughter, two sons under the age of 4, two cats, one flat coat retriever and one very naughty golden retriever.

Christy Harris is vice president, Talent Acquisition and Inclusive Diversity. In this role, Christy is responsible for delivering best-in-class recruiting, sourcing, consultation and employment branding to attract top talent, while providing an excellent candidate and hiring manager experience. She is also responsible for the continued advancement of Allstate’s Inclusive Diversity efforts. Both roles are key to delivering on Allstate’s talent strategies.
Christy brings strong influential leadership, project management and client relationship skills to this leadership role, as well as strong knowledge of the business. She led the insourcing and creation of the AskHR center in 2012. She led efforts to create significant cost efficiencies in leveraging outside vendor partners. She also led work to purchase and implement new technology to improve the HR customer experience.
Christy joined Allstate in 2001 as a consultant on the HR Shared Service Account Management team. She held numerous roles on the HR Field Service Delivery team, including business partner for the Claims Eastern Territory vice president and leading the Claim Field Director business partners in the Eastern Territory. She later served as director/business partner for Emerging Businesses and Product Operations. In 2012, Christy was promoted to vice president, Human Capital Solutions, which includes the strategy and operations areas of HR. She became vice president of Total Compensation in 2014 and moved into her current assignment in 2016.
Christy earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance from St. Cloud State University, a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from Winona State University and her MBA from the University of St. Thomas.

Becky Snow is the senior vice president of People and Organization at Mars Wrigley Confectionery, the category leader and maker of some of the world’s most beloved and delicious brands, including M&M’s®, SNICKERS®, Orbit®, Juicy Fruit®, Altoids®, Starburst® and Skittles®. Becky is also a member of the global Confectionery leadership team.
A life-long “Martian,” Becky joined Mars’ Petcare business in the United Kingdom soon after graduating college. Her career has since taken her across the globe to Poland, Belgium and the United States. She has worked in local, regional and global roles as a Business Partner and spent five years in talent management leading the Talent Center of Expertise at Mars, Incorporated between 2009-2013. After two years based at Mars’ corporate headquarters, Becky moved to the Wrigley segment (which was acquired by Mars in 2008) as global head of People and Organization. For the past 18 months she has been immersed in one of Mars’ largest organizational changes – the integration of the Wrigley and Mars Chocolate businesses to create Mars Wrigley Confectionery, the largest confectionery company in the world.
Becky is passionate about insight-led HR and building inquisitive teams that have fun together, approach their work with purpose and challenge their clients to be their best. While in Europe, she pioneered Mars’ early efforts with the Great Place to Work program, a focus area she is passionate about. Becky believes building a foundation of trust and authenticity is crucial, and she embodies these values every day.
Becky holds a Master’s degree in Medieval History from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, golfing and spending time with her partner and two energetic young boys.
