Jake Burns is Vice President of Cloud Services at Live Nation Entertainment where he is responsible for modernizing IT and leading the company’s cloud transformation. Jake joined Live Nation in 2009 as System Architect where he lead the effort to scale the company’s ticketing platform processing over 480 million ticket sales annually. After the acquisition of TicketMaster in 2010, Jake joined Corporate IT and in 2015 was appointed VP of IT Operations overseeing IT Infrastructure and IT Support teams in US and Canada. In 2015, as part of Live Nation’s IT modernization initiative, Jake and his team successfully moved all Corporate IT systems to AWS, completing the project in 17 months and with an immediate 18% reduction in TCO.
With over 20 years professional experience, Jake is known as an exceptional leader with deep expertise as evidenced by his track record leading high performing teams that achieve sustained results. Prior to joining Live Nation, Jake was a technology consultant for companies such as Warner Music Group, DirecTV, Sun Microsystems, and Lockheed Martin. Jake is a AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional level), AWS Certified Developer, and AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.

As Vice President for IDC Retail Insights, Leslie Hand is responsible for the research direction for IDC Retail Insights, and leads research related to the digital transformation of retail omnichannel operations. Hand works with retailers and technology providers on developing best practices and strategies, aligned with where they are, and where they want to go, leveraging IDC quantitative and qualitative data sets.
Ms. Hand's specific research includes a particular emphasis on mobile, IoT and augmented / virtual reality technologies and the threats and opportunities now facing the entire retail ecosystem from evolving consumer behaviors. Leslie likes to say that she will always be a retailer through and through, but in her current role she now has the opportunity to work for many top retailers and the technology providers that serve them.

Lisa Kerns is the Chief Information Officer for Fareway Stores, a grocery retailer with 120+ locations across five Midwest states. As CIO, Lisa provides vision and direction for the technologies and solutions that support and drive the business, including retail operations, consumer contact management, software development, business applications strategy, analytics, and infrastructure management. With a passion for providing meaningful and enriching customer experiences, she specializes in customer strategy, loyalty programs, digital commerce, retail store execution, and marketing excellence.
In previous roles, she has helped companies develop global business and IT roadmaps, recommending and delivering innovative capabilities and brand strategies for the food manufacturing, grocery, general merchandise, and fashion apparel industries. Prior to joining Fareway, Lisa worked with Luxottica Retail (Sunglass Hut, LensCrafters, Oakley, Ray Ban) and grocery retailer The Kroger Co.
