Modern business is all about customer-centricity. It’s about personalized customer experiences supported by smart, automated processes. Rising expectations call for the modern business to be always on, omnipresent and predictive (rather than reactive) in responding to changes in customers’ needs and preferences. All of this needs to be supported by carefully designed ‘enterprise data plumbing’. Data needs to flow to where it’s needed with the minimum of friction. It must arrive clean and ready to consume at the point of use, and it must be secured against leaks and contamination.
