Chief Financial Officer

1 Day Meeting

2018 Chief Financial Officer Leadership Forum

San Francisco, CA Feb 14, 2018

Overview

The influence of today’s Chief Financial Officers extends well beyond the realm of finance. Companies increasingly expect CFOs to demonstrate not only financial acumen but also the ability to partner with other departments and other business units to identify opportunities to improve their companies’ overall performance.

Beyond reporting on past financial results, today’s CFO works closely with senior leadership to balance strategic goals and operational requirements to develop a comprehensive approach to planning for a company’s future.

To explore how finance leaders adapt as their responsibilities expand, Argyle Executive Forum is bringing together CFOs and other finance executives for our annual Chief Financial Officer Leadership Forum in San Francisco.

Throughout a full day of thought leadership content and networking, this invitation-only forum provides finance executives with unique opportunities to learn from one another about how to meet the most pressing challenges they face today.

With an agenda geared to Chief Financial Officers, Chief Accounting Officers, Controllers, and Treasurers, as well as executives in leadership roles in finance, accounting, and FP&A, this forum will feature engaging and thought-provoking sessions on key topics that include:

  • How CFOs lead their finance teams to expand their purview beyond reporting on past financial results to articulate overarching performance goals, and develop plans to achieve and exceed them
  • How CFOs extend their influence outside finance by establishing partnerships with human resources, sales, IT, and other areas of their companies
  • How CFOs prepare their companies for economic, regulatory, and political developments that will have the greatest impact on how they do business

Our keynote presentations, fireside chats, panel discussions, and networking sessions will provide you with ideas and best practices you can share within your organization. This forum also offers you a unique opportunity to expand your network by connecting with senior finance leaders hailing from the Bay Area and beyond. We look forward to hosting you!

Fireside Chat featuring World Vision USA: "Non-Profits: What is Finance's strategic role when it's not about ROI?"

Please note: this session is off the record

Non-profits’ organizational cultures are usually mystifying, even disorienting, to corporate eyes.  The truth is, the people dynamics within non-profits ARE more challenging – but they are challenging in very predictable ways that Finance (yes, Finance!) is ideally positioned to resolve.

In this fireside chat Dave brings his experiences from both sides of the rabbit hole to explore those dynamics and our special role in navigating these challenges.  Whether a senior executive or board member, current or considering a leap into non-profit, Finance can align energies and drive greater success in the non-profit sphere.
