2018 CIO/CISO Virtual Event: Avoiding a GDPR Melt-down

Mar 21, 2018, 1:00 pm - 2:15 pm

Overview

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a hot topic in the IT community. As technology continues to innovate and information is shared across business units, third-parties and across the globe, stronger and stricter regulations like GDPR are becoming the norm and not the exception. It is important for US organizations to adopt GDPR compliance and guarantee better security of personal identifiable information (PII) to avoid hefty fines. As it stands, we are looking at a road map that will prep us for the future of security regulations. The questions is, where do you start?

Don’t panic, we know moving forward with protecting sensitive information that is shared on a daily basis isn’t easy. Let alone shared across geographies. Join Argyle Executive Forum and Seclore as we bring together leading IT executives to discuss commonsense approach to data-centric security to meet GDPR compliance by May 18, 2018.

Key topics include:

  • Technologies that improve the ability to comply
  • How various departments are impacted by GDPR
  • A data-centric approach to meet GDPR compliance

Seclore Enterprise Digital Rights Management, a file-centric security solution, enables organizations to remotely enforce and audit who can view, edit, copy, screen grab, and re-distribute files.  These granular, persistent usage controls stay with the document wherever it travels, both within and outside of the organization’s borders.  The document owner can also remotely modify and revoke access to files after distribution.

Recipients can access protected documents either using an agent or agentless mode, making it very easy to adopt and extend the power of Seclore Enterprise Digital Rights Management beyond the perimeter of the organization.  The solution is device and transmission agnostic, including support for both iOS and Android mobile devices.

Connectors for eMail, ECM, ERP, DLP, EFSS and other systems make it easy to automatically protect emails/attachments, documents being downloaded from systems, files shared via EFSS, and sensitive information that is discovered by DLP offerings.  A robust SDK and APIs make it very easy to add data-centric security to any corporate system or technology.  The ability to automatically protect files without human intervention is a key aspect of rapid adoption and ensures that more sensitive information is protected as it is shared.

A complete log of the document flow and its usage is maintained centrally in line with the recommendations of ISO 27001, PCI and SOX 404.   This detailed data-usage audit trail can be readily exported to SIEM and other central governance systems, enabling organizations to simplify governance, audits, and compliance reporting.
