2019 CIO/CISO Virtual Event: Enabling Best-In-Class Security and Integrated Risk Programs

- Mar 19, 2019, 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EST

Overview

The breaches of the past few years continue to show us that organizations are overwhelmed and struggling with the risks posed by software vulnerabilities. But what if you were able to properly pinpoint the most critical vulnerabilities and align these risks with overall enterprise risk? Innovative IT & Security strategies are helping transform inefficient processes across extended enterprises into an actionable, automated, and integrated risk program. Through continuous monitoring and automation, you can improve decision making, increase performance across your organization, and respond to vulnerabilities and business risks in real-time.

Join Argyle Executive Forum, in partnership with ServiceNow in our 2019 CIO/CISO Virtual Event: Enabling Best-In-Class Security and Integrated Risk Programs. During the event, we’ll discuss the following topics:

  • Responding to business risks in real-time with integrated risk management
  • Unifying compliance processes to provide assurances around their effectiveness
  • Improving strategic planning and decision making by pinpointing vulnerabilities and risks
  • Increasing performance and productivity through consistent and cross-functional automation

Thought Leadership Presentation from ServiceNow: "The State of Vulnerability Response"

With new software vulnerabilities being discovered every day, it’s not a matter of if, but a question of when hackers will use these vulnerabilities to infiltrate an organization. A survey commissioned by ServiceNow with the Ponemon Institute, revealed 48% of respondents experienced one or more data breaches in the last two years. The majority of cybersecurity experts are struggling to keep pace. F aced with hacker onslaught, organizations need new approaches to keep data and assets safe.  We will quickly touch on these topics ahead of a panel discussion on tying IT, security, and risk to keep your organization safer.

Panel Discussion
  • How are your IT, security, and risk staff working together to locate vulnerabilities and remediate cyber risk?
    • How are they organized? What problems are you facing that make collaboration difficult—lack of staff, low communication between departments, separate workflows, etc.?
    • Are there opportunities to better unify these teams?
  • How do you connect software vulnerabilities to an enterprise risk program? Does enterprise risk factor into decision making processes on if/when to respond to software vulnerabilities? Is there an opportunity for this to be better connected?
  • How would continuous monitoring help solve your enterprise’s unique problems with cyber risk? What lessons have you learned from using it? How has continuous monitoring, automation, and orchestration helped unite your IT, security, and risk teams and improved overall security?
  • How do you talk about cyber risk to stakeholders, the C-suite, and the board respectively? How would you report risks to these different groups?
  • Are you reporting this information to board directly or through someone else?  How often is this occurring?
