CFOs on Talent, Technology, and Digital Transformation

Argyle Executive Forum held a virtual event on July 27, 2017 to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing finance teams today. Scott Mall, Vice President and North American Leader, Finance, for IBM Cognitive Process Services, was one of three industry experts that took part in the discussion. Topics of discussion included technologies like automation, blockchain, and cognitive technology and how they are affecting finance, how talent needs are changing, and what CFOs need to consider on the digital transformation journey.

Finance organizations are at different stages in the digital transformation journey. While the furthest along in developing analytics are in a better position to leverage cognitive computing opportunities, others are only beginning to focus on advanced analytics, predictive, or prescriptive technologies. Regardless of an organization’s progress in digital transformation, it is clear that more information about particular technologies is needed.

In order to get a clear picture on where finance organizations stand on digital transformation, IBM conducted a survey of industry-leading CFOs and finance executives to get their opinions on talent, tech, and the finance teams of tomorrow!
